A great collection
2008-08-20
This is a good CD to get if you've heard a couple STP songs you like but aren't ready to commit to a studio album yet. It has virtually every song you'll hear in various music games or on the radio (minus "Dead & Bloated").
Good

Will do till I can get all the albums sent over from home. Doesn't replace the first 3 albums.
Great Album

For the price this is a great album, I highly recommend it. I also recommend the albums "Core" and "Purple" there are yet other great songs not listed on this album that can be found on them such as "Meat Plow", "Unglued" "Pretty Penny"
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best "Greatest Hits" CD ever put out. This compilation is a strong representation of STP's best. CD jacket is fab as well.
Good song list, but they could've had more songs.

Stone Temple Pilots are an excellant band, with many great songs to contribute to and I was impressed with the selection made for this compilation, however it was a little short for me...I mean 12 tracks? Come on they could have doen better and added more songs to the mix. I was really hoping for "Dancing Days" and other good songs by STP and was dissappointed that they were not there. Other than that the album is pretty good with many good songs on it.
Five stars for sure - but don't buy it!

From their arrival in 1992 with the 8x-platinum "CORE," Stone Temple Pilots have consistently been among the forefront of modern rock ānā roll artists. With each album, the California-based quartet - Scott Weiland, Dean DeLeo, Robert DeLeo, and Eric Kretz - has pursued their own unique musical vision, an inspired sonic approach merging metallic riffs and baroque pop melodies with a punk-fuelled energy and a gift for psychedelic experimentation. As a result, Stone Temple Pilots have sold more than 20 million albums worldwide, and they rank among the top three most successful bands to emerge in the 1990s (along with Nirvana and Pearl Jam). Among their many accolades, Stone Temple Pilots received a "Best Hard Rock Performance with Vocal" Grammy Award for their #1 rock smash, "Plush." Other honors bestowed upon the band over the years include two American Music Awards, one Billboard Music Award, two Billboard Video Awards, and an MTV Video Music Award. In 2001, the band received a Grammy Award nomination in the "Best Hard Rock Performance" category for "Down" (from "No. 4").

I had doubts that there wouldn't be any cracks in the CD when it arrived, but there wasn't. I ordered a bunch of items on this particular day and this one arrived first of them all. Very good service!
90's ROCK AT IT'S BEST!!
2007-11-04
STP is one of the best groups of the 90's, with "CORE", "PURPLE" &
"TINY MUSIC" just to name a few of their albums.
PEARL JAM clones yeah right, I didn't know Pearl Jam was still around.
This album is a good starter album on STP.
I rate this CD a 9 from 1to10!!
Great Overview of STP, but Poor Version of Acoustic Plush
2007-06-02
This disc has a good collection of STP's songs. If you've heard STP on the radio and never got around to buying one of their albums, this will give you pretty much all of the songs that you've heard before. Hardcore fans of STP will probably already own the individual albums these tracks are from. My only complaint with this disc is that the acoustic version of Plush sounds like it wasn't recorded directly from the sound boards live at their MTV unplugged session. It sounds like it was run through a TV first, with the requisite TV hum. It's a jarring change from the previous track. I suppose when they play that song on the radio, it's not nearly as noticeable as when you're blasting it from a CD.
casual
2007-03-19
If your a casual fan of STP and know them by their hit songs this cd is perfect for you. But if you're serious you'd probably collect the cd's one by one. I love Sour Girl, anyway I don't know why these songs got airplay they're actually pretty good, the radio stations in my town only play crap.
