Ultimate Storage!

I am STRONGLY considering another set of these! I recently saw where they do not recommend reheating food in plastic containers, but recommend you using glass ones. I got rid of my tupperware and bought this set. . .LOVE it! They take up less room then the bulky tupperware, also they do not get the smells or stains like the tupperware do; not to mention being so much more cheaper as well. I RECOMMEND this item!

Excellent product....as pictured and described. We store and re-heat a lot of food. Till date we were using rubbermaid plastic storage containers and we noticed the chipping/melting of plastic when foods were heated. Therefore decided to switch to glass and this is a perfect product. The lids fit snuggly/airtight and the quality is great.

Missing Lids...

I love pyrex dishes, and own many. This is the first and only time I have ever had an issue with their products. I only received 2 of the smallest lids and was supposed to receive 4. I have written to pyrex explaining what happened and asked them to send out the replacement lids. I hope I get the response I am looking for. Reading the other reviews I am apparently not the only on who did not receive the correct lids. Other than that the products are great. Very functional, durable and affordable.

nice set, need better caps

pyrex is very nice. thick glass. be careful with the top, they tend to warp over time. don't put the tops in the microwave. otherwise, nice set at a nice price.

It's an excellent product, convenient for storage after backing, and easy to clean. Great as a set which make it easier to store and fit within a small space is available within your fridge.

The pyrex set is great - it's nice to be able to take the lid off and stick the container in the microwave. The only downside is that the lids can be a little hard to get on the containers.

Change from plastic to glass

We replaced all of the plastic storage containers with these glass containers. They aren't expensive, they work well and they are arguable much safer for us and the environment. What's not to like? They could use some larger matching bowls.

Great Plastic Alternative

Being concerned about plastic leaching who-knows-what into our food (and not trusting corporations to tell us about it), I purchased these, along with a set of Pyrex larger, mixed-size containers to replace plastic refrigerator storage pieces. It's easy to view the contents, the lids fit securely, and there's the bonus of being able to microwave food in them. They also beat out plastic when it comes to washing as they go in the dishwasher and retain their shape. They're a little pricey when compared to plastic, but will last forever, so I figure they are a bargain in the long run. Since 90% of the food we buy in the stores seems to come in plastic, it's impossible to get away from it, but hopefully every little bit helps.

Great for Storage and Reheating

Recently we just stopped using plastics and switched to all glass for food storage and microwaving because of health concerns.

This pyrex has been wonderful. I have not had any cracks or breaks and I have even dropped a few from the refrigerator to the floor. Its great that you can go straight from refrigerator to oven or microwave. The lids fit perfectly.

The only complaint that I have on this set is that there is alot of smaller bowls and I am always needing bigger ones. Other than that, this has been a great set.

Great bowls; wish they had handles

I've been using this product for about 1 1/2 yrs. & also purchased it as a gift for newlyweds. I love these glass bowls as well as their versatility. I just wish these bowls had some sort of handle. I use my microwave extensively for cooking; the dishes are very hot & it can be tricky removing them from the microwave. Sometimes I put a plate under the dish to make removal easier; other times, I use a potholder. I'm always concerned that I'll lose my grip and the hot contents will fly all over me and the room. Ouch! Since it's becoming more and more important to avoid plastics, I hope that Pyrex will add some sort of handle or grip to all their glassware. I purchased both sets from Amazon.com and both arrived intact, with no breakage, & all the correct lids.
