Best baby-gate by far! Great for small animals also!

I've used several different gates and this is the best gate by far. The clear plexiglass is great for seeing through and there is nowhere for the children, or pets in my case, to climb over. The handle on top is by far easier to open the gate with than the old fashion bar that most gates still have. The only drawback is the space between the wall and gate on the side where the handle is. There is a gap of about 1 1/2" that my ferrets can get through, and I would think a small kitten or puppy may be able to squeeze through also. Other than that, it's perfect

We had this gate already installed at the top of our stairs to prevent our toddler from falling, somehow our teenage daughter broke it. We looked everywhere to find a replacement, amazon was the only place we could find it. Looks great, works great!

This gate is wonderful. I loved that my son would still be able to see me through the gate as though it wasn't there. The only thing I was a little dissapointed about was the fact that you need to have a relatively large door in order for the gate to be able to swing open and walk through.

Cheap mounting brackets

I had one of these gates 3 years ago when my daughter was an infant and it worked great. Until, one day the latch inside the door broke and we couldn't use it anymore. By that time, she was old enough that we didn't need it any longer. I purchased another one recently because our 7 month old son is crawling everywhere. The first day it was up, the bottom part that screws into the wall broke and left a hole in the mounting bracket. My husband tried to repair the bottom and the top part broke in the same way the bottom did. Later he bought some longer screws and bypassed the orignal screw holes, which worked for a few days. My daughter (4 years) pushed open the gate today and the whole bottom mounting bracket split.

The best gate for active toddlers...period.

My son has always been bigger than average for his age, and he started climbing around his first birthday. By 15 months, he could climb all the furniture, escape from his crib and had managed to defeat every gate we tried. I bought this gate as a last resort but wasn't holding out much hope for it. I figured that, if he couldn't climb it, he'd break it down. That's his style.

To my surprise, not only is this gate completely un-climbable, it has also stood up to constant battering without so much as a hint of wear. We've had it for 5 months and I'm yet to find any fault with it. It was easy to install (the package includes a handy template so you know where on the wall to place the hardware), it's much more attractive than most plastic gates and the clear panels make it easy to keep an eye on your child from the other room when you need to. Plus, other parents who have visited our home have made comments about my "nice gate." It's a great babyproofing investment.

I own three of these gates and I love them! I have all of them mounted on the hardware as oppossed to just pressure mounting them. I have a very active 2 year-old boy. He will hang off of them, slam them open and close when he can, and just flat out bang on them. I love that I can see through them and I don't have to worry about my son sticking his arms through any bars. The only downside to this gate is that the clear plastic has gotten marks from my son banging his toys on it and it is very hard to remove some of them. Overall, I would recommmend this gate to anyone!

I am a Grandmother and I own 3 of these gates, one each at the top and bottom of my stairs and one leading into my formal living room. I shopped extensively before purchasing this particular one. I chose this gate because it is easy to use and looks nice in my home. It can be used as a pressure gate or as an attached swinging gate. If you decide to attach it, as I did, it only takes 2 seconds to release the hinge and remove it, which is what I do when the grandkids are not here. I've had these gates for over a year and I'm still very happy with them!

Great gate.....but......dogs did it in.

I have had this gate for about two years. I'm here on Amazon deciding if I want to buy this gate again, or try something else. I have two dogs, a Min. Schnauzer and a Bichon who is a jumper and a digger....she has pushed and dug with her paws to the point where she can open the gate on her own now.....the pressure closure looses some presure as time goes on.

The best part of this gate is it's clear, so it doesn't seem like a hideous gate....it's appealing and easy to use. I don't think a child would be nearly as rough on this gate as my dogs, so I recommend it!

We have owned this gate for 3 years now. The first time we used it, it gave us great peace of mind. We installed ours at the top of our stairs so the children could play upstairs and I didn't have to worry about the bonus room door being left open and the toddler wondering out and tumbling down the stairs. I love this gate. But I probably love the customer service more. Our first gate only lasted 3 days before something broke in it (I think it was a design flaw that had since been corrected). I called the company and within 10 days I had a replacement gate at no cost to me. Just last week, I was putting the gate back up for the next baby and I discovered the bottom mount was broken. I called and without any more questions than what my address was - had a replacement part in 3 days, again at no cost to me. I love a company that stands by its product - especially when that product protects my babies.

love this gate. We have several (lots of stairs in our home) and this is the best and easiest to use. One hand to open and close. Easy to install. 3 year old still can not climb over. See through. GREAT!!!! Sturdy too. Great gift. I have given as a gift and have heard no complaints!
