I have only used the # steps part of the pedometer, trying to increase my walking level. I love the memory function as well, and it has additional features that may be useful to others.
Great Product, Can't Complain 2009-07-03
I am very happy with the Omron Pedometer. I have been wearing it everyday since I got it. Unless I am wearing dress pants, I am able to put it in my pocket and wear it to work throughout the day discreetly with no problems. I have been trying to watch my steps in the goal of the 10,000 steps a day program so this pedometer is serving it's purpose for me. I did a lot of research before I purchased this one and I can say that I am very happy with my choice of the HJ-112.

This is an easy to use item and if you can measure your stride length the pedometer is quite accurate. It is lightweight and unobtrusive with an easy to read display.
Great Pedometer 2009-07-02
I ordered this pedometer after another one I had broke. This one is great. I wear it everywhere and it is very accurate and easy to read. I have dropped this pedometer many times and it still works great. I have even ordered another on for my daughter and she loves it too.
Takes a licking - keeps on ticking! 2009-07-01
OK - I'm sure Omron does NOT endorse this sort of stuff - but last week, while launching a boat, the motor stopped and I was forced to jump into the lake in my clothes....forgetting that my beloved Omron pedometer was in my pocket!! ACK! By the time I remembered it, the screen was partially filled with water and of course it didn't work....
But I took the battery out, shook out as much water as possible - and let it dry for several days. Then put the battery back in....and it WORKS!!!! I'm stunned!! But really happy because if I had to buy another pedometer - I'd have purchased THIS model again!

I have purchased four of these units for the family. They holdup well and are accurate. It has helped greatly with our family walking plan. Tried at least five other kinds all found wanting. The latest purchase is for my grandson who is eight. Consumer Union magazine recommends it and I bought it on their recommendation.

This pedometer does everything I need. It's easy to set. I often change my stride length depending on whether I'm doing my power walk or just strolling around. I like that it counts regular steps and aerobic steps. Also, the memory function is nice because I can compare how I did for the 7 previous days. It has both a large clip for attaching to your waistband and a smaller clip for added security if you put the pedometer in your pocket. It works well both in a pocket or on your waistband. I'm using it to track my miles for the Breast Cancer 3 Day.
