light and slight?

This lap desk is light but I am dissappointed in the plastic surface and the overall quality.
Serves the purpose 2007-01-16
My daughter was given a similar item 20 years ago and used it extensively until it wore out. She asked me if I could find a replacement, which I did, but of course things today are not made as sturdily as they were previously. But the lapboard serves the purpose...just hope it will give her many years of service (don't expect 20, of course).

I bought this as a lap desk for using a notebook computer. Its cushion is thick and comfortable. I agree with a previous review that its surface is slippery, proabably designed for a purpose other than as a platform for a computer. Nonetheless, it suffices.

Although I am a writer who composes on the computer, I often do my editing on hard copy in a comfortable chair. Until I started using the Posture-Rite Lap Desk, I could not do this comfortably. Now I have it, it fits my lap perfectly, I use it and love it. I recommend it highly.

It feels a little cheap. It is very comfortable however and holds my laptop quite well. The flat surface is made of some thin material that isn't study, so don't put too much weight on it. Otherwise a good product.

I had read reviews from others on this product. I wanted it to use
with my laptop. The biggest problem is that because the top is some
very thin plastic the heat from my laptop comes right through.
Therefore it doesn't serve my purpose so I am not too pleased with it.

Its not high quality but it does the job. its made of lightweight plastic and seems like it could break easily, but if your using it for a laptop or schoolwork it beats having to use your lap. Its also has a raised tab at the bottom to keep stuff from sliding off, if your labtop doesn't have rubber cushions on the bottom of it it could slide off the smooth surface of the table. For the price its not bad.
Great Lap Desk 2007-05-15
This lap desk makes using a laptop much more comfortable (if you don't have a real desk handy)- it helps keep you and the computer cooler and helps keep it in place. It's also great for working on suduku & other puzzles or writing anything. It's also very light weight.
Posture Rite Lap Desk 2007-05-09
This lap desk was a dissappointment. I do not recommend it. The cushion was filled with styrofoam and the desk surface was styrofoam covered with tan plastic. The pencil rest was glued on and you can see the dried glue oozing out. A very cheap product that I would not recommend. I went to Office Max and purchased a much better constructed lap desk with real wood surface and gel cushion for not that much more that your lap desk. Posture-Rite Lap Desk

This is exactly what I needed for my macbook computer. It's comfortable and keeps my laptop from sliding around. GREAT!
