I bought it because I need an AC adaptor to work with travel router (lost the original, still have USB power cable)
other than working with the travel router, it also works with my pdas (Asus A626, which is not compatible with some chargers, but this one and the one with V3 do; and HP 211), all nokia phones I have (I have USB charging cable and plug adaptor), and on top of all, blackberry pearl
perhaps I have some luck that it works with my devices, and, for NYC customers only, J&R also sells it for better price

I have 2 of these and I'm using them to charge various MP3 players, a PDA and a Holux GPS unit. Also powers a gooseneck USB LED light.
Works for Sony MP3 players 2007-04-03
I got this to charge my Sony MP3 player (Sony NW-E005 2 GB Flash Digital Music Player (Black)). Judging from the previous reviews I felt that I was really taking a chance here.
Well. I got the item in 2 days (my shipping address is downtown San Francisco, CA). Plugged it in, then in went my player. To my relief it charged fine.
From reading the other reviews it looks like a bit of a gamble, but at least for the Sony MP3 player, this thing works as advertised.

Yup, thought for 10 bucks I'd give it a try. Wrong answer, save your money. Doesn't work with my creative zen micro photo. Tried to charge all night long and didn't do a thing. I just went to the creative website and found that they had the charger for the zen micro on sale for $10. Live and learn.
Do Not Buy! 2007-01-28
I bought this adapter to use with my Creative Zen Microphoto. It does not charge the microphoto. The pc will fully charge the microphoto in a couple of hours but I left it plugged in to the Zip-Linq for 14 hours and it did nothing. The Zip Linq may work well with other mp3 players but not the Microphoto!!

This item I believe is one of the best USB chargers in the world, especially for a cheap price. The size of it is not questionable because I have seen bigger ones. This is for you if you have an MP3 player that you need to charge (if you have a USB cable for it) or anything that needs charging (again with an USB cable).
Not a good charger 2007-01-09
My husband and I both put our players on this connection for 24 hours - it showed charging, but at the end of over 24 hours, the devices were still not charged. I DO NOT recommend this product for anyone. Carry a laptop and plug it into that or maybe try the car charger - this one's a DUD!
