I got this for my Netgear ReadyNAS+ to use my parallel printer with it (since it only has USB ports). It worked out of the box with nothing needed to be installed on the ReadyNAS system.
Didn't Work

It didn't work. I had a Win XP USB PC with an IEEE 1284 compliant printer, but it did not work. Kudos to Amazon for the return policy and picking up the return shipping.
