Love this unit, is so easy to setup. Great price. have had it up and running for almost a year now, no problems. I do recommend useing the security encriptions and turn off broadcasting, unless you don't mind people freeloading off your highseed and slowing down your connections.
A ROUTER THAT WORKS 2008-05-14
I bought a Trendnet router that donesn't work well. The signal was up and down. This router was gone to other country and the return goint to be to expensive. I decided to buy a new one. A Linksys. I received the Linksys router and it works excellent all day. It has a strong signal than my mother two blocks away receive coverage.

This is my first experience with a wireless system, and I am greatly disappointed. Setup was fairly easy, I will admit to that. But, the first router died in two days, the second lasted only a couple of weeks. I'm returning it for another brand. Belkin?
When the router was working, it would cut out all the time, several times a day. I could never use my laptop in my bedroom, because the signal was too weak. And I live in a one story, 1800 sq ft home.
I even tried buying the wireless booster to help get signal to the bedroom, and I never could get it to work properly. It was a bear to install, and even after being on the phone with customer service twice, we still couldn't get it to work.
Customer service for Linksys is a big joke. I was on hold half an hour before I ever got a human being, then another half an hour with each tech to try to fix the problem. And the tech that worked with me was in Isreal! One tech even treated me like I was four years old, with no computer experience!
This piece of crap is going back, and I'm trying a whole new system. I will never buy a Linksys again. I wish there was something lower than one star, it doesn't even deserve that.

i guess this isn't a bad product. I do not see a difference in this expensive router shooting the signal any father than my cheap belkin did. i don't think its worth the money.

Easy to install and the wizard makes connection to the computer/internet very easy. Pretty reliable although very occasionally fails to connect and needs rebooting, especially when connected via wireless.

Going wireless is great! 2008-04-14
I read all the instructions and talked with my local user group and it set up fairly easily. I had a few stumbles, but I figured out what caused the issues. I used the encryption and mac address for security and feel confident that my system is safe. Everything else is wired and plugged into the router. I am having some issue with printing to one of my printers that is on the network, but am confident I can figure it out. On the whole I am very pleased and would recommend it.

I have set up 2 of these in the last month and they are sweet. In the past I have tried netgear and it does not compare. EZ to configure and the home network (ez link advisor) makes things simple. Highly recomended, good range and fast.

If you can't get this router to work, you are an idiot! I read some of these reviews where people cannot get the router to work properly or say that it performs poorly! Wow, what a bunch of idiots! I have used this router for over 5 years without a hitch! It works flawlessly with easy to use firmware/software. It has great range for a Wireless G router and I can use it throughout my two story home. Enough said!
Excellent product, lousy documentation 2008-04-07
The router works flawlessly once you complete the setup. I would have rated it five stars, except that the setup was frustrating - we renamed the router and yet it named it differently after we completed the setup screens. Also, the setup has multiple tabs; sometimes the info from one tab is called something different in the other tabs which is confusing. Thus, a task that should have been easy -- such as changing the password from the default -- involved searching the internet for directions. Once you complete the setup, it is a great router.
