WEE-HAW! 2008-06-25
Since I have a 17" screen notebook my search for a large backpack that would hold my notebook took a while. Just days after I got this, I took my backpack as a carry-on onto a flight. This thing held my notebook, cords, mouse, headphones and mp3 player and charger, binder, hoodie, a Harry Potter hardcover book, snacks, and once we landed, a 6-pack of water. This backpack can hold LOTS of stuff and is comfortable to wear, and there are no signs of seam strain. What a great bargain!

Enormous and worth it 2008-06-17
If you need to carry a big 17" laptop / mobile workstation AND a lot of other stuff, this is it. I bike to work (8.5 miles each way) and, with laptop, bike pump and tool set, full change of clothes, and food/water, the pack weights 18-19 pounds and still travels *very* comfortably on my back all the way.

A few cons:
It's not waterproof (to be fair, it's not advertised as being so);
It doesn't "breathe" well with the computer on the compartment closest to your back;
The profusion of compartments and pockets is confusing at first (but after you get used to it and properly organized, it's great).

Overall, a winner!

Lab top rolling case 2008-06-16
I am not happy with this rolling notebook case, while it holds my 17" laptop, allowing me to wheel it in around the airport instead of carrying it, it is too large for some overhead storage on smaller planes, and size is too larger to comfortable pull from under the airline seat to get to the laptop. The front storage is limiting as it does not unzip to open completely, and has a pocket opening on the side that pushes into the inside of the bag blocking use of some of the internal pockets. The back storage area, near the handles, limits usable space for items although it does hold files and accessories for the laptop. The pocket in the center which holds the laptop does not unzip all the way either, but allows you to slid the notebook into the slot, it would be more useful if you could open these sections fully.

Very good computer backpack 2008-06-16
Pluses: Lots of capacity, good support system, good protection for the computer. Carrying handle is excellent. Outside pockets are well-designed, and there's a toggle on the water bottle pocket.

Minuses: Has three very large pockets but not enough small ones, and no mid-sized pockets. The computer sleeve is actually a bit too big for my MacBook Pro 17, though that doesn't seem to be a problem. It would be nice if there were a way to tighten the pocket with velcro straps.

Great Bag - Tough - But no Bungee cords 2008-06-16
This bag has more than enough room and seems to be really tough and well padded to protect your laptop. Plenty of room for those one and two night stays out of town so you don't have to carry that extra bag on the plane. The one thing I wish it had was the bungee cords on the sides of the front flap so I could quickly stuff random items in a compartment without having to unzip the zippers. Important when you are on the go.

Fantastic! 2008-07-19

Targus TXL617 17 XL Notebook Backpack review 2008-07-06

Its exactly what I wanted, with lots of pockets and space.

Pack Mules delight 2008-07-01
I bought this pack for my wife who loves it very much. Perfect for the larger laptop, and plenty of room for her extras, and even more for her sweater when she visits stores that are to cold. She is the outdoors type anyway, so the bag is not out of the norm for her. Very comfy shoulder straps. Fits under airline seats. So basicaly if you like backpacks buy it. If not.. get a briefcase.

covers all your needs 2008-06-30
This bag is great for carrying your lap top & everything else you may need to use with your lap top. Its great quality, light weight and great value for the price.

Great Case 2008-06-28
I bought this case for my new 17 inch HP laptop, so size was a major consideration. My computer fits easily into this case with plenty of room to spare. It is well padded & provides ample protection for the laptop. There are more pockets & compartments in this thing than any reasonable person could use. It easily fits all my accessories and is comfortable to carry whether using the carry strap or the handles. The price was good and it arrived promptly from the supplier. I would highly recommend this product.
