I like the lotion much more than the gel for this shaver. I have very sensitive skin so this helps a lot. My main complaint is that I have to use a lot of it.

Sure, it's very convenient to have the lotion right inside the razor, but it can get expensive to constantly have to buy more of these packs. I use regular shaving gel with my Cool Skin shaver and have never had a problem in the two years I have used it. I still use the packs when traveling, just for the space savings.

I've been using these creams for a long time, and seeing them available on amazon was a relief (especially with the subscribe-and-save option).
This is the basic refill that helps a smooth (and non-painful) shave with Phillips products. It basically comes to not whether you'll buy the product, but where you'll obtain it. For myself, amazon is a good choice.

These are replacement cartridges for the Norelco Cool Skin shaver. The lotion does not work as well as the gel(in my opinion), but is still ok.

the norelco lotion dispensing razors are the best for me and this service is a lot easier than trying to find a pharmacy that stocks the lotion cartridges
