Good but cumbersome to turn pages

I love this product but have not figured out a good way to turn the page without taking out the light wedge. If someone has a solution, let me know

Love this BUT

I love this book light, it is my second. I really loved my first one. it had two levels of brightness. this one only has 1 but is still a good product. Just a little bright some times. With the first one if I woke up in the middle of the night unable to sleep I could turn the light down and read. This one is too bright for that, It hurts your eyes if you try to turn it on after waking late at night.

Enough Waves to Make You Seasick!

I purchased this for my father's birthday and gave it to him a couple days ago. What a disappointment! I put Duracell batteries in this and was all exited to see him use it since he reads constantly. I nearly cried when I saw the waves of light going across the page of his book. The light was uneven and made the plastic look like it was badly rippled. We put different batteries in and the exact same result. Shadows and ripples across the page that made it unreadable. I was so excited to find a such a perfect gift for his birthday and now I feel lousy for giving him such a piece of junk. He thanked me and put it up on a shelf. I'm certain he will never use it. I know I wouldn't!

I wish I had the foresight to take a photo of my LightWedge in action so everyone can see the bad performance of this thing. I wish I had paid more attention to the negative reviews and not wasted my money.

Great Book Light

I bought this for my Father in Law. My Mother in Law did not like the light on in bed when he was reading. He tried a flashlight, etc. to solve the problem. This was the resolution. No bleed from the light, but very bright on the page. He's very happy.

Not a happy camper

This product does what it is intended to do but... It scratches way to easy. Then the more you mess with it the more it gets scratched. It needs to have a more durable clear finish on it like most Lexan motorcycle windshields have so it can be touched and used without showing wear. Not sure how long I'll be able to use this?

big wedge light

The Lightwedge uses a distortion-free, optical grade, acrylic lens with an LED edge light to create an even "pane" of light over the entire page you are reading. There's no glare and no stray light to disturb others so it's perfect for use on airplanes. Doubles as a bookmark.

also disappointed

Like others, I was very excited about this product...I purchased it with the magnifying page and couldn't wait to be able to read some of my books again....I was disappointed when I got a book ready to read....light is uneven, wavey and the magnifying page just intensifies the distortion with more waves. The whole thing is distracting because you have to keep it lined up on the page just so and then have to move it and readjust it to the next page...continuity gets lost.

Not as useful as I expected it to be. ..

I found the booklight to be very cumbersome to use, and therefore am unlikely to use it unless I was in a situation where I had no choice but to read in total darkness.

Good reading light for paperback

I had this book light for over a month and have been using it. It does have problems like other reviewers reported: scratched easily, non-uniform light across the plate (seeing ripple like patterns). There is one spot right between the 2 lights on the side that I found it's not bright enough. Luckily, this usually lands on the margin of a page.

Other than those, I like the light. It's bright enough to read comfortably and fit perfectly on a paperback page. For books of larger size, I tried turning it sideway, and scrolled down as I read along. I found it very convenient to keep the light inside the book as a bookmark. I can just close the book, turn off the light, set them aside, and fall right to asleep.

I wish there were a third light in the middle along with the 2 lights, that would have fixed the dark spot (and may reduce the ripple patterns?).

This is the single best thing for someone who likes to read in bed. I can be in the dark and read my book easily with the light wedge. It's even better in hotel rooms when the light switches aren't by the bed...... I'm going to share a room with a friend soon and I know I can read as long as I want to and not disturb her. And the wedge is powerful enough to light a room like you could with a flashlight... so I can use it to light the way to the bathroom in a strange hotel room. I've ordered several paperback sized ones for Christmas gifts, can't wait to see what my friends think of them.

One thing... I wish I had been more careful with my LightWedge when I got it..... the surface scratches easily and mine has lots of scratches now. I would have been more careful.... but the scratches don't detract from the usefulnes of the wedge. All in all this is a great product!!
