Excellent Internet Monitoring product

Did you see the one hour segment Dateline NBC recently did on Internet pedophiles?
Basically, Dateline rented a house in a SMALL town and had one of their people pose as a 14 year old girl in a chat room. The girl didn't voluntarily chat with anybody, but did respond to the massive number of people who sent her private messages.
Over the course of just two days, 18 men came to visit the house to try to have sex with the 14 year old girl, all documented on camera by Dateline on their September 24, 2004 episode. I highly recommend viewing the segment.
At the end of the hour, Dateline recommended several products, but none more highly than Spector Pro, which they said recorded everything your child does on the Internet. This includes all their chat conversations, instant messages, emails, keystrokes types, web sites visited, files downloaded, etc. Spector Pro gives you an EXACT visual representation of everything your child (or spouse or employee) does on the Internet, and shows you the entire conversation they have with adult strangers.
Often, your kids don't know when an adult is up to no good, but you have the radar to know these kinds of things.
I can tell you -- Spectorsoft, the makers of Spector Pro, have been in business for about six years, and they have received TWO Editors Choice awards from PC Magazine, the most reputable computer publication on the planet. And as a user of this product, it is easy to use while at the same time extremely powerful in letting you know every single thing your kids are doing on the Internet. My highest recommendation.
Does everything you need !!

I'm thrilled to find a program that does everything it claimed it would do. Be carefull to install it on the computer you want to use it on though !! Once installed, it will not work on another unit !! I tried it on my computer and then wanted to move it to the computer I wanted to monitor !! Can't be done !!
The Absolute Best Product for Keeping Your Kids Safe Online

It is unfortunate that software pirates/thieves are allowed to post their opinions aside the rest of us, but that is, I guess, part of a democratic process, as far as Amazon is concerned.
Microsoft, Apple, Adobe, Spectorsoft and hundreds of other software companies abide by a simple principle, which is that one software license is allowed to be installed on one computer. However, a small number of people seem to think that if they buy your software, they can install it on as many computers as thet want. However, if that were the case, software companies would quickly go out of business.
Yet, there is someone on Amazon who gave Spector Pro a 1 star rating for the simple fact that they installed the Spector Pro software on multiple computers.
They had no complaints about the software itself, but about the fact that they felt they should have been able to install the software on as many computers as they wanted.
We know that the vast majority of Amazon purchasers are honest and we take offense when a member essentially steals software and drives up the price for everyone else.
What do you think?
Only 72 hours Warranty

I bought the Spectorsoft Spector Pro 5.0 and installed it on three computers in my home. No where on the box did it indicate a license restriction. In less than a week I received an e-mail from Louis@spectorsoft.com that I would have to pay them another $139.00 or they would disable the software on all computers I installed it on. Since I paid $100 for the product and was not going to be forced to purchase more licenses, I removed all copies and asked them for a refund. They said I had 72 hours and would not refund the product after that. They conveniently waited for that period to expire before telling me that I had the product installed on more than one computer. Hence, I am out $100 and have no program. This program allows you to spy on people but you are the one being spied on by Spectorsoft. Also don't let them fool you into thinking you also need Eblaster, a different name for virtually the same product. You'll be spied on and robbed too! Spectorsoft is unethical.
Works wonderfully

I've been using this software (and previous versions) for years. It works beautifully and, in spite of a previous reviewer's comments, can be adjusted to capture snapshots closer together. I've had to contact customer support a couple of times, at no fault of the manufacturer, and received an extremely quick response on both occasions.
Sounds good, but does not work very well.

At first, this product seems to work really well. It has many options and setting to get the exact information you want. However, if you really want to use it to monitor computer activity, it falls short. If you have it on a computer with more than one display, it only gets the primary one. It records only outgoing keystrokes for most chat application (except the main ones like MSN and Yahoo). The playback is difficult to use, jumps around, and turns out to be of little actual value as it usually missing the needed view. It also appears to cause a hit on system performance and definitely requires a lot of disk space. eBlaster is a better application; however, it too can be fooled pretty easily.
