It is what it is

I've had one of these for a couple of years now. The good news is that they're cheap - I think I got mine from Walmart for less than $30. The bad news is their ink costs as much as the printer; each cartridge (one for black, one for color) will cost about as much as the printer. The worst news is how long the ink lasts; it'll last either about 100 pages or about a month or two before either running out, drying up, or just clogging the built-in print nozzle in each cartridge. I've yet to get anything remotely streak-free out of this unit. It's not a problem with the printer, either - all of the ink delivery is managed through the cartridges.
I've found that using rubbing alcohol on the color cartridges can rehabilitate them if they've been sitting for a while, but haven't had as much success with the black cartridge. If that tip saves somebody some money, great.
One way or another, you're going to spend money on a printer. It's either going to be up front or it's going to be in the ink. Considering the price of this printer, guess which one it is this time around?
A 5 Star Printer in a 1 Star Situation

I have been purchasing a range of products from Amazon for a year and half. In the begining I made a few errors, when I did not read the (small print). In those cases you cannot blame the product or the seller. It is a learning process and I learned quick. So, here I am writing a review for a printer I love from a seller that I will never be sure of. I ordered the printer believing the inkjets were included. When it arrived the box stated the inkjets were inside, but they were not. They had been removed. I emailed the seller immediately and then went to the site to see what had been written that I might have missed, but things were not the same at the sellers site, the
price of the printer had been changed by the seller and possibly the wording, because in very clear writing there it was no inkjets included. Also, from the same seller another printer same model, but with inkjets for $15.00 more than what I had paid for mine. I wrote to the seller again and said why would I order a printer with no jets(knowing I was going to have to order jets for far more than $15.00) when I could have ordered the one with inkjets and save the money and the hassle of ordering jets. They said they had increased the price of the printer I had ordered, but none of the rest of the site had been changed. He offered to sell me inkjets for my printer and then refund the difference, which was fair, but I believed I had already paid for the jets and on top of that they charged me for the shipping of the jets when I asked them not to, because I was charged for the shipping of the printer, which should have included the jets in the first place. Word to the wise, if you are a seller and there is an immediate dispute over wording or price, it would be much smarter not to change a thing in your ad, so there is no question about your integrity or your intentions. I gave the seller ample opportunity to just send me the jets, but they were not going to budge. I begrudgingly paid for the jets, because his cost to me was fair, but I was clear about not wanting the shipping cost added and that was ignored. Fortunately I have a wonderful printer and I know most of the sellers at Amazon want your return business, so they are willing to work with you when a misunderstanding arises, but I do not think I will use this seller (targetpc zshop) again. For me this was a 5 Star Printer in a 1 Star Situation. Thanks-Catherine
A Great Printer For A Great Price!

I've had quite a bit of trouble with my Lexmark 3200 printer. One day, a few years ago, the printer "gulped" several pages and ended up "choking"...making a horrible grinding noise. It was past the warranty, so I've tried to make do all these years.
What this means is that I've had to stand by my printer and feed it a page at a time. Otherwise, it would "gulp" several pages and make the same grinding noise--and I'd have to abort the print job. Not only that, the 3200 was very noisy and quite large.
Today, I finally broke down and got myself a new printer. Since I don't do a whole lot of printing--but don't like to be aggravated to death when I do--I chose the Z615.
I was totally blown away! It took my husband just a few minutes to unplug the other printer and hook up the new one. Installation using the CD-ROM that comes with the printer is a breeze. When it printed a test sheet, I couldn't BELIEVE how quiet it was! I almost thought it wasn't printing until I peeked over and saw the print! I've used the Quick Print setting (the same as Draft Copy on the Lexmark 3200), which is the lowest setting. Surprisingly, the printing is better than the Normal (medium) setting on the Lexmark 3200!
Not only is it quiet, it's quite fast. At least, much faster than my last printer (before it had broken). It prints about 14 pages per minutes--maybe a little faster. Very speedy for my purposes. It's also very compact--much smaller than the Lexmark 3200.
A color cartridge and black cartridge comes with the printer, so you don't have to worry about buying ink right away.
I'm amazed at how well this printer works, especially considering the very affordable price!
As you can see, I'm thrilled with this product. :o)
Good Price... Great Printer

I definitely try to look for what is really great within a printer. Yet, so many different ones always have different singals that work like a charm. Although many people who own computers try took for a cheap price for a printer, most of the time everyone falls a little bit short. With Lexmark, they hit the nail on making inexpensive printers at a very reasonfully delightful price. Yet they also hit the mark because of the features most printers have at more that stretches your dollars down to the ground. There is just so much a printer can take for anybody who needs it right here.
Lexmark Z615 is a very convient color printer that really works very well for all people who have the desire for a significant printer at a good price. The add-on is very easy to activate with simple software to use. It is very convient and also simple to install and remove the cartridges that other inkjet printers just have a hard time removing andinstalling those cartridges. Yet, there a downside to owning this printer. You really need to have USB 2.0 adapter for your computer inorder to use this device. Anything else won't do. Another downside is that it doesn't come with word-written instructions other than just a diagram, but it is just certainly very easy to understand.
Lexmark's Z615 is a very convient printer that is worth its weight in money. I think it is a good must buy for anybody who needs a simple printer who only has a certain amount to spend on it. Print that one up on file.
