My Mouse Review

Great mouse. After having this mouse for a few years the feet wore away. now the plastic starts to scuff the table. But it still works perfectly. All in all this has proven to be a very good mouse with no complaints other than the issue above.
Great mouse!

Great performance! Works on surfaces where other optical mouses can't. I think it's very close to laser quality on this aspect. A little bit bigger than a regular sized mouse. Very comfortable grip and handle. Easy access to roller and buttons (including side buttons). Very convenient and far more cheaper than Logitech G5 and up. Very good quality product with a nice rubber and, metal like, plastic body. Optional USB or PS/2 interface is a plus.
Superb mouse

Have had this mouse for about 2-3 years now... some of the spaces between the blue area and the side of the mouse have got gunk in them and some of the logitech label has worn off, but it is functionally perfect. The shape is very ergonomic and comfortable and it has the basic buttons plus a few.
The software isn't the greatest (like most bundled driver software) - I use USB overdrive instead, since I'm on a mac.
Overall it has been a great and dependable mouse.
Great value gaming mouse with flawless performance

I often experience some reservation prior to purchasing any product, which has been "reconditioned". What initially sold me were the good reviews and the $25 sticker price on the product. After receiving the mouse and putting it to use, my concerns have been alleviated by the very fine performance of this gaming mouse. The scrolling action and movement is smooth and accurate. It has a fine feel in the hand - ideal for internet browsing and especially for game play with newer computer games (COD 4, etc.). I do suggest that you update the software (driver) from the manufacturer's website to ensure that all the bells and whistles work up to par. I recommend, without reservation, the Logitech MX 510 Performance Optical gaming mouse. It's a great mouse at a great price.
Nice mouse....but not a perfect fit

Logitech has raised the bar on mouse precision, performance, and beauty... again! The Logitech MX510 features an improved version of already-amazing MX Optical Engine that combines high resolution with high frame rates to deliver the best in mouse performance. This revolutionary 800-dpi sensor now captures an incredible 5.8 megapixels every second and is able to track up to 15 G's of acceleration. So you get instant response to your fastest movements, with no lag. Plus, a collection of advanced features will streamline frequent tasks like scrolling through long documents, switching between applications, and navigating the web. And with a beautiful holographic blue finish, you'll enjoy the MX510's looks almost as much as its performance.
short-lived

Fine while it lasted; after about 6 months, it was erratic, the light not staying on - or sometimes it would, no rhyme nor reason.
Good software, cheaply made hardware

Almost immediately upon receiving the mouse, some of the stick on screw covers and frictionless pads started to come off. After nearly two years I had a critical breakdown of the connecting cable to the mouse which rendered it useless. I have used many mice on many PCs, some during the concurrent time period as this one, some for a lot longer and this includes the cheapest of mice and have never had this kind of breakdown in any of them. The way they set up the optics also causes it to gather dust and require frequent cleaning. I also felt the mouse sits up slightly to high but that will vary by user.
The good is the software and the ease of configuration. This would have been a great mouse had the hardware been manufactured better. If you can get it for around $20 I would recommend it but cannot recommend it for more than that. There are many mice that cost as much and in some cases less than the MX 510 that are a lot better.
Hyper fast response times and extra buttons make it awesome

First tried the Diamondback Game Mouse, which had problems being detected on startup due to it having an excessively high current demand when first plugged in. I returned the Diamondback Game Mouse and bought the MX510, which has worked perfectly from day one. This bad boy has the fast response times that demanding gamers require and the extra buttons allow you to play more efficiently which translates into better scores. I would buy this one again without hesitation.
Bad quality.

I got to use this mouse for about 2 weeks before it completely died.
I didn't abuse it or anything, just standard use.. (maybe 10 hours total use)
It worked great before it died, and I really wish it would've continued working that well.
The only reason it got 2 instead of 1 star is because it was great while it lasted.
