Editorial Review
Timex gives its signature Ironman Triathlon multi-function, performance sport watch a sleek new look that's a great fit for both men and women. Featuring a full complement of athletic timing features and a striking profile, the Timex Triathlon Sleek T59201 has a metallic silver resin case that's complemented by a uniquely styled, slim profile black resin strap. It features three alarms that can be set for daily/weekday/weekend/weekly alarms, two time zones, an all-day white reflector display for easy reading even in direct sunlight, and water resistance to 100 meters. Sport timing functions include:

The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer. The Night Mode feature allows you to illuminate the Indiglo night-light for 3 seconds with any button press, regardless of the mode or function.

watch out 2008-11-29
I loved the looks of the watch and it probably is a wonderful watch but I found the directions to its functions very confusing and complicated. I sent it back because I neither have the time to wade through all the directions nor do i want to have to consult the directions every time I go for a run.

Perfect daily and travel watch 2008-11-10
I had a similar watch for about 6 years that I absolutely loved; the soft plastic band finally broke, so I treated myself to a new one. I was glad to see the same type of watch was still available from Timex at a moderate price; the design is even nicer, since it has a sleeker, more feminine design. The alarm has been terrific especially when I travel. The digital face has big numbers that are very easy to read -- even at night, with the Indiglo feature. I would definitely buy this watch again -- and again.Timex Unisex Ironman Triathlon Sleek 50/100 Watch #T54281

Terrible band and warranty 2008-11-02
The watch's warranty makes you pay 7$ for shipping and handling if it has a manufacturing problem, which they usually do when inmersed in water for the first time. That in itself is a great business for Timex. Then the watch works pretty good for up to a year when the band falls apart and the water goes in. It is very dissapointing.

Exactly as advertised. 2008-10-28
I swim three days per week and wanted a watch I could see underwater- this works great, I also like that I can hit the button to light it up if I wake up at night and want to know the time.
I'm not into all the bells and whistles but somehow set the timer to chime hourly, which I find I like, (keeps me on track at work and seems to make it go faster!) The directions on settings was difficult for me- though my husband figured them out pretty easily- next I'll use it to keep count of my laps or pre set a timer so I'll know when the time I wanted to work out is up.
I have small wrists and this fits fine and doesn't look too bulky, though if you want to make a glittery fashion statement, this is not the watch for you.
Well worth the money.

I'm on my third one: my favorite everyday/outdoors watch 2008-10-21
There is only one thing wrong with this watch, IMHO: It lasts only a few years before I manage to kill it. During that time, however, it goes swimming, gardening, hiking, camping, and even scuba diving. It gets dunked in the water, shoved in the dirt, clunked with rocks, stuffed in a pack, crammed in a pocket with keys.... I can wash it in the shower or sink, and it doesn't retains dirts or mildew. FEATURES I USE MOST: two-time-zone feature for traveling; countdown for laps is also good for cooking, reminding myself to get up from the computer for breaks; three alarm settings rouses me from my computer when I'm so overfocused that I don't get up the first two times; indiglo helps me see it in a movie or a tent; and I can take it absolutely anywhere without worrying about breakdowns or killing it in the pool. It has also got a thin watchband, so I can get away with it with almost anything you'd wear in the PNW (except an interview). DON'T REPLACE THE BATTERY YOURSELF. You'd think it'd be a no-brainer, but I killed my last one this way.

Comfortable, easy to set but alarm is too soft 2008-10-14

Durable, easy to use, and comfortable 2008-09-23
This watch survived six weeks of anthropological field work in The Gambia (West Africa) during the rainy season. Sweat, dirt, and downpour did not destroy it. The "alarm" feature can be set on "repeat," sounding in intervals, which is very useful for behavioral observations or for athletic activities. In "civilian" life, it's terrific for timing runs. It fit the wrists of both members of the lab team. The only damage suffered was that the silver paint around the face chipped away (it's gray underneath, so hardly noticeable) and the plastic face got scratched.

Definitely well worth the money...a very nice watch! 2008-09-02
Excellent watch and well worth the money! Makes my sailboat racing that much more efficient and very comfortable to wear d/t it's small size and light weight!! One thing I would like to see in a watch this size though, would be to have the real time showing in the corner while the timer is going both in the main window at the same time, so I don't have to go back and forth and take the chance of interrupting the timer.

Excellent 2008-08-29
I love this watch! I just began running again after 10 years and joined a running group training for the half-marathon. This watch is great for the Galloway method of training, esp. the alternating timers. I can set it for 2 minutes running and 1 minute walking with continuous or interrupted repeats. Easy to use and program!

Great watch, terrible band 2008-08-23
Short story: great watch with great features (two time zones, multiple alarms, countdown timer, plus standard stopwatch, time/date)... but the band sucks and is NOT replaceable.

Unlike other reviewers, I have no problems with water, even though I wear mine in the shower daily and pool a time or two per week for laps (consistently for 18 months now). I love the countdown and repeat timers to set my pace and keep my workout moving (or cooking reminders, or naps:). Indiglo is a bit hard to read in dim light, but lights up very well in darkness. Buttons are easy to use and well labeled.
The watch band, however, sucks. The sides of the band, where it wraps around the face of the watch, separated after only two weeks' use. I've re-glued it multiple times; when stretched into place, it stays (sort of), but still pops out often, which is irritating if not problematic. After about one year of use, the small ring which holds the tail against the watch strap broke, so I'm left with a flapping band--which makes the watch fly off at the least provocation. And the band is not replaceable, at least not locally.
I like the look and function of the watch; Timex just needs to do something about the band.

Review: ... "Complication is the upmost level in watchmaking and Patek Philipe is the upmost swiss watchmaker. These two things meet in this beautiful album. The history of Patek Philipe complicated watches from 20s up to 80s represented by gorgeous photos. Every watch is represented by dial, movement and case back pictures. The book may serve both as a nice reading and as a collector's book. Excellent print. The only minus is the lack of detailed movements information."
