Customer Reviews
Great Size, Missing 1 key adjustment

Pro's:
* super light
* fold very compact
* easy to adjust & feels secure
This tripod is even lighter than I thought it would be. It folds very compactly, smaller than my China Lonely Planet guidebook! I travel a lot and travel light, so this tripod will fit my needs fine. I've used it at home a lot and like that I can set it up on a bed, table, chair, or anything else without needing floor space. Everything tightens nicely and feels like it will last without loose screws leading my camera to sink down. Both my digital point & shoot and my (quite large & heavy) digital camcorder work with the tripod.
Con:
* no vertical tilt
Unless I'm missing something big, I can only put my camera on this tripod horizontally (landscape shot), and it can not tilt at a 90° angle to take a vertical (portrait) shot. To me, this is a pretty disappointing limitation, but its portability and stability are still selling points in my opinion.
Very sturdy, can easily handle my D40

I needed a small tripod for my Nikon D40 and it seems that all of the "table" ones that I tried were better suited for light, compact, pocket digital cameras. Not this one. It can handle my D40 without any problem. The movement is smooth and controls are firm with positive feedback. I like it a lot!
