Big Enough for a 17" HP
2008-06-04
I have a new 17" laptop which rarely leaves the premises but when I am not using it, this case is excellent protection. It has several organizing pockets, a padded type of case & I would not be afraid to take it anywhere in this case. Of course, this laptop is rather heavy but I am confident the case would be able to take the load. I went everywhere locally but couldn't find a case large enough until I went to Amazon.
Thanks Targus, just what I needed!

I travel to europe a few times a year and then between Minnesota and Vegas a few more. Without thinking it through one day I bought an HP 17" laptop. I really like it except for it's bulk and weight. I actually looked for almost a year before I found this bag and I'm glad I waited. This holds all I need for a day's business. Yes it's big, but somehow it seems to minimize the weight of my laptop. Good on the shoulder and with the strap that attaches it to my carry-on, it has become this road warriors best friend.
Everything and More Laptop Bag

I bought this bag based on the reviews from military personnel and I am very pleased with the product. I was able to fit my 17" laptop and my two digital pocket cameras plus a camcorder in the bag along with all the charging gear for these devices. I love the bag and don't leave home without it.
Targus TCG200

I bought this bag in April of 2008 to house my then new Toshiba A205-5841 laptop.I wont bore you with a long drawn out analysis of this bag.I will say that despite the questionable yellow writing on it (courtesy of Targus) it's still a good almost great laptop bag.It holds my laptop and laptop peripherals perfectly.
Plenty of pockets, but a little small

This is a very nice looking bag, but isn't the the most expandable. In fact, I was rather disappointed at how small the packing space actually is. On the other hand, the available room is nicely parceled out with lots of pockets to store smaller items. Just don't think that you're going to be able to carry many more larger things, like books, when your 15" or 17" laptop is inside.
A review for the CityGear Los Angeles Case
2008-07-20
I am unsure why Amazon has decided to post reviews for multiple products under one item, so please note thie review is for the CityGear Los Angeles Notebook Case.
The product description says that this case fits 'up to a 17"' screen. This created some angst for me as I have had trouble finding a case big enough for my Dell Inspirion 9300 17" widescreen laptop. But, I took the plunge - after looking everywhere in my town.
When the case arrived I tried to put my laptop in it and was amazed that not only did it fit, there was still room left over! There is a pad inside the laptop compartment that allows you to fit it to the right size of your notebook to prevent sliding around. But, I was really surprised with the amount of room.
Being someone that has lots of 'stuff' I needed a case with not only places for documents and books, but for other accessories as well. This case does not disappoint. There are compartments for pens/pencils, CDs/DVDs, a seperate pouch for your cord, mouse, etc, an 8 disc CD case, a key clip, a separate cell phone pouch, and many more. If you are in need of places to put things yu will be hard pressed to fill this case up.
The construction is nice as well. All higher quality materials. Even the actual laptop compartment, the zippers have double eye loops so if you have a luggage lock you can lock it. The strap has enough padding so that it doesn't bite into your shoulder, but not too much to where it feels bulky.
All in all this is the perfect case for me and is exactly what I was looking for. I can't say enough good things about it. A top notch product and cheaper that the lesser quality cases I found in the local stores.
Perfect for my 17"

I am a student, so I needed a bag that would carry my comp and some books, with some nice pockets for all my 'necessary' accessories- this bag is great for all these things, and it looks nice, too. Great buy!
Review for Targus CityGear Miami MESSENGER case.
2008-06-23
This laptop case is great, the only thing that I don't like is it's not padded between the laptop at the bottom and the floor, so if you drop it your notebook will be a goner. My old Targus had rubber padding on the bottom, but I had to get rid of it because there was no room for my stuff (I have a Pavilion DV9420 and the top of it is very sensitive and I didn't want the accessories scratching it in that design). I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for that lack of padding.
Targus CityGear Backpack
2008-06-15
I've had this backpack for almost 4 years now, and it's still as sturdy as it was when I first bought it. This is definitely a recommendable backpack, however I kind of wished I had gotten a swiss army one, for those seem to be the superior backpacks. This Targus backpack competes with the swiss army ones though - it has a lot of pockets, including one on the strap for your cell phone, the straps are comfortable, and the handle is sturdy. The biggest compartment has a nice pouch for your notebook, and a small pouch for cds, keys, etc. The next biggest compartment has a divider for books, folders, and papers. The next biggest compartment has a mesh elastic pouch, which I use for clothes. I've used the buckle pouch for shoes before, which is nice. Overall, this backpack isn't bad, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a dependable, comfortable, efficient backpack for your computer and traveling needs.
As advertised

This bag works fine for my large and heavy Dell XPS M1730 (16"x12"x2.25"), with just enough room for the power supply (which is large, 4"x8"x1.75"), cables and a mouse. It's also quite solidly constructed, with many little pouches, pockets and partitions that I don't use.
