The iAUDIO 4 MP3 Player has an awesome 124 color LED visualization function with delicate high quality sound by BBE equalization effect. It weights only 33g, yet supports multi codec files like WMA, ASF, and WAV. And, with support for direct encoding functions, which can record MP3 music through CDP or cassette player directly, you don't have to connect PC to get MP3 files.The player also offers customers real-time MP3 recording from a variety of sources, including FM radio broadcast and high quality sound of MP3 files, also can be used as removable USB storage disk, which is recognized by PC directly without a USB driver.

great MP3 player

I spent a lot of time researching on MP3 players before getting this one and it ends up ABOVE my expectation. I am glad that I picked this one.

The great things about this player:
- It has all the up-to-date features - line in, voice/audio/FM recording, light weight(even WITH an AAA battery), GREAT sound, etc, etc...
- the line-in jack on the player is a regular sized one (3.5mm, same as a regular speaker phone jack). For such a small MP3 player, that means you can plug most audio sources directly into this player without an extra adaptor.
- can be used as a portable mass storage device. I have Windows 98SE, and the driver for Win98 took less than a minute to install. WinXP shouldn't require any software.
- JetShell, the software that comes with the package, is NOT required but I use it for extracting audio CDs to MP3s, and I found the audio quality of the 128bps clips VERY good, better than other extracting tools I used.

Some things I wish I had on this player:
- NO change of color on LCD screen because that just takes up space: this is supposed to be a 512MB player but the actual free space you can use is a little more than 480MB.
- AC adaptor. Two hours of playing drained about 1/3 of the AAA battery life.
- Easier access to USB port - right now I have to open the battery cover to connect it. When you slide open the battery cover, it's very easy to accidentally press the buttons lining up on both sides of the player.

Great overall sound quality, wonderful BBE effect, enough capacity, very loud, 124 different colors, FM, FM recording, Line In recording, Voice recording, very small, very light, ultra sexy, Mass storage, Mac suppport, Linux support. I can't live without this super garget!
