Stay Away From Go Video

When I first bought this machine I was very happy with it. It worked great. However, about 9 months later the screen started malfunctioning. It was under warranty so I sent it in. Now OVER 4 MONTHS LATER I still don't have a replacement. To make matters worse customer service states they don't have visability into when I will get my fixed/replaced. Purchase from Go Video at your own risk.
DONT BUY THIS!!!!! STAY AWAY FROM GO VIDEO!!!

the unit started malfunctioning shortly after it arrived. the display was faulty and couldnt see anything on it.but it gets worse!WHAT A LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE!.calling the 800 number is playing russian roulette.good luck if hold time doesnt exceed less than 20 minutes.i had the unit replaced for one of lesser value!now still waiting for the right one.3 months and counting.it is not worth my time to spend such long hours calling them.ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK should be their logo.

After reading good reviews online from other sources, decided to order two of these units. Neither unit worked out of the box. Great Christmas presents they turned out to be!!

Started having LCD display/video problems right out of the box! After playing about 6-7 DVDs for the kids, the LCD died. Go Video wants $90 for their Labor cost after 90 days (plus shipping). Not worth the cost. Was waiting for about 30min. before Customer Support finally picked up. Good thing for speaker phones.
Go Away from Go Video!!

The warranty for this product is 3 months parts and labor and a year for parts only. I just paid $97 for the labor to get mine replaced (refurbished unit) which is half of the cost of a new one. What a service!

This dvd player worked for about 10 DVD's then just died. What a waste of money. Wouldn't buy any GoVideo products again.

Have two of these pieces of ?&%^$#@# and neither works. Quality of parts are substandard and break easily. Neither unit has been outside my home. The fist unit quit working after two DVD's were played on it. The idea is great but this company simply doesn't care about providing a quality product!

This DVD player looks great on paper and worked great for us...for about 20 videos of use. It just stopped working. I have read many other user reviews (mostly on CNET.com) of product failure. Think twice before choosing this poor quality machine.

I bought this for my son in 2004 and it does the job nicely. He doesn't care about hi-fidelity, so sound and picture quality isn't an issue. He has dropped the player a few times, but it survived. Overall I'm happy with it. It comes in handy when one kid wants to watch one show and the other wants to watch a movie.
Good when it works

I had this for 6 months before it stopped working in the middle of a movie. Wouldn't work at all. I called customer service and, after repeated attempts, eventually got through to them. To say that they weren't helpful would be a huge understatement, they actually directed me to buy a lens cleaner to see if that was the problem. It wasn't. They then told me it would be over $100 to repair. Instead, I opened it up myself and manually "fixed" it in about 5 minutes. Now it works great.
Will never buy from Go Video again though.
