I got the damaged one too, but custom service was helpful

The price, design, and look of the crib are great. But multiple pieces arrived damaged. One piece (the front part) has a 4-inch-long deep scratch, another piece has a two inch long chip. They are both very visible from far distance. A third piece has a half inch long nick which may break off if you pull on it. Several other pieces are not in perfect condition either, but those imperfections are livable. Overall, the condition is lightly damaged "floor model" condition at best (you know the kind they give heavy discounts to get ride off), definitely less than what I expected. I am going to contact the seller and will give additional feed backs depending on their responds.
Update: I just called the number from the package. The person answered the phone was very nice and very helpful. She promised to mail the replacement parts. Let's see if they will arrive undamaged. For the helpful custom service, I will give them an additional star.
Parts were damaged 2007-02-26
We haven't yet put the bed together so it might be great but I gave it 2 stars because it should arrive intact but it didn't! This was a common complaint in reviews. Two of the main pieces were seriously scratched or chipped. It did was definitely not damaged in shipping because it was packed well. There is a phone number to call if parts are damaged. We'll do that soon. I'll update this review if everything is fixed.
More than satisfactory for the price

We are expecting triplets, and needed three cribs. Though affordable, this product does not look cheap at all. My husband assembled them all by himself in three hours. It fits a regular crib mattress. Although one of the height-adjustable sliding frames had a problem with its spring and the drawer is somewhat unstable, we are still more satisfied than disappointed. Hope the babies will love them too!
Great crib for the price 2007-02-06
I ordered this crib for my daughter who will arrive on or before March 30, 2007. We received this crib one week before the actual delivery date, so that was a nice surprise! My husband and I put the crib up with no problems at all! The wood is not the best quality, but what do you expect, you paid $180 for it! The finish is nice and makes it look like an expensive crib. There was only one scratch mark and it was on the back of the crib, so it really was not a big deal! Overall, we are extremely pleased with this crib and cannot wait for the arrival of our daughter!

For the price we paid, I think the crib is not all that great.
Design and finish of the crib look really nice. Assembly was easy. Drawer is a nice, useful feature.
Whole crib is particle board, seems very flimsy. Mechanism to lower crib door is different from most cribs I have seen. There has to be pressure applied on both ends of the door to lower or raise the drawer. That makes it difficult to operate the door with a foot. Anyways, that malfunctioned the next day after assembling the crib.
Very nice looking but beware 2008-06-16
I recently purchased this crib for my impending bundle of joy. It didn't take long to assemble... maybe an hour... looks absolutely beautiful. My only issues with it are that some parts came damaged. One part used for doing the daybed has a big gouge in it. Also the railing had a scratch on it. We turned it the other way and you can't see it though. Also, the drop rail is a little hard to drop down for me. My husband seems to have no problems, but it's challenging for me. Also, the platform that the mattress sets on seems rather flimsy and not very sturdy, so I may re-enforce it later... I'll decide when I actually have a mattress to put in there. It IS very pretty though and overall I'm pleased.

I purchased this crib for my soon to be born grandaughter, Ava. I read reviews on other websites and then was a little hesitant to buy it, as some had problems with it, some did not. We are absolutely thrilled with this crib. It is a gorgeous piece of furniture that will be functional from the day she is born until the day she is ready to leave home for college, since it converts from crib, to toddler bed, to full size bed. The color is great, the quality is superb! It looks like a very expensive piece, so for the price, this is more than satisfactory! I would definitely recommend this crib and I would buy it again. In fact, the next grandchild will also get this crib, if it is still available at the time.
Really disappointed 2007-07-31
I do not think this crib is very well made, it is really badly scratched and nicked, but worst of all, there is no way to lock the side that comes down. There is a little notch at the bottom of the rail and you just rest the bottom of the rail on that notch. But baby grabbing the rails to lift himself is enough to remove the rail from the notch. We have to leave the drawer open so the rail doesn't fall down and create a danger to our 8 month old.
The wood is not that great, the crib is not really as sturdy as I've seen others and would expect. It looks nice from a distance, but up close, once put together, it's really a disappointment. I'm so sorry we wasted our money on this product.
Storkcraft is awful to try to do business with. They close at 3pm pacific time and they are on the west coast. They want the crib number, even though we know the crib name and can find it on their web site. The instructions are extremely poor and there is NOTHING about raising and lowering the side rail and how they think it should lock.
I think you can get a lot better for your money. The only reason I didn't give it a lower score is because, it does work, it's just not very good quality.
Good Value For The Money 2007-05-15
Wow! How many parts are there to putting a crib together? The instuctions were a little vague in a few areas, but we were able to figure it out. It is very nice looking. The storage drawer below the crib is great. All is all, the crib is a very good value for the money.
Very Nice Product for the money 2007-03-21
This Crib is well built and functional. The drawer is a nice and convenient feature. The finish is good for an inexpensive crib. Assembly was easy with good instructions included. We plan on using this crib for our next baby as well.
