No Clutter

Great, now I don't need a 25 foot COX cable to hook up my internet. Best of all eveything is now in a network, desktop, printer, laptop. Easy set up as long as you read directions. Mine was a little tricky because my laptop is old and is a Windows 98SE system, so had to make a setup disk, but not a problem. I bought Linksey WUSB11(desktop), WRT54G(Modem), WPC11(laptop).

I've had this card for years and it has always worked great. I bought a new one for my sister to use in her laptop.
It's Cheap And It Works

I was looking for a wireless card for an old IBM ThinkPad 390X running Windows 98SE. I considered the Linksys, a Belkin and a Netgear and after reading positive and negative reviews of all of them, defaulted to my standard: buy the cheapest one that'll work. I had quite a time getting the driver to install and that's my major complaint. Maybe that's the fault of Windows 98, who knows. The driver installation process kept hanging up because one or another DLL file was not found. I finally had to do some online research on this and also downloaded the driver and some other software from Linksys. I finally got the drivers installed and the card actually works fine. I would hesitate to recommend this to someone with an old machine who isn't very computer savvy, but it's a cheap solution that worked out okay for my needs.
I'm happy with this card

I'm really happy this card because it is very cheap and performs well, you must know that there are other devices that offer a greater range and speed but at higher prices, the cheapest wireless g notebook adpter i've seen costs 20 bucks, but why spend 6 more bucks and shipping (cause it is not eligile for amazon prime) for 43 Mbps more when the fastest internet for home and small business is 8 Mbps, Think about it, i highly recomend this card
*****update July 23*****,
This card drains the battery life of my notebook much more faster that my last dell wireless-g card. i get 1 hour and 30 miuntes with out the card and 45 minutes with this card using a fulla charged battery, my laptop is an inspiron 1000 equipped qith a rechargeable Li-ion battery 14.8 V------ 44--mAh with a capasity of 65WH

OK to you linux users out there. Yes, it works in linux. This is great for a budget person trying to just... get on the internet without a problem. If you try something like Ubuntu, all you do is plug it in, and it knows what it is, its ready and waiting for you to select a network near by ;-). I suggest this to anyone on a budget or want support in linux out-of-the-box.
Good for the price

This has served my wireless network needs very well for the price. Unfortunately, this device does not support WPA encryption (even though the firmware update notes say it does) so I cannot use it on many newer wireless access points or routers. If you are still using 64-128 bit WEP encryption, as I am, this will work just fine, but be prepared for issues with newer routers.
best value for the money

This PCMCIA card isn't the fanciest or quickest wireless adapter around, but it is a reliable performer that will connect with just about any wifi system out there. Installation is quick and easy. Sometimes more basic can be better.
Great price and reliable hardware

We had compared prices and for the $9.99 price it was a good deal. Easy to install in minutes and works great on multiple machines with no problems. Highly recommend.
