I am 13 years old and i am completely obsessed with SVU. I cant get enough of all the stories and the characters. My personal Favorite episode is when Detective Stabler travles to Prague. It ia a great show.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit - The Fifth Season slipped a little bit in terms of storylines but finished strong in the final episodes. I still enjoy watching this show, can't wait for the new season to start in the fall, this is the only Law & Order spin-off I watch, simply the best. My favorite episodes from season 5 include: Mother, Abomination, Control, Sick, and Head. If you are a fan of SVU, don't wait buy season five today!
BETTER than original Law&Order, criminal intent or trial by jury 2008-04-07
SVU is the best investigative show. Certain episodes i can actually relate to them. And i haven't been able to deal with what i went thru, but watching those particular episodes by accident, where u never know what its storyline was about. I was facing it right there n then. It was hard, painful, and scary... But watching those episodes end nicely where the bad guys were punished, it sort of become A Closure for me, and made me move on with my life much much better. I woke up the next day, feeling much much better about being me. The demons went away. Thank You SVU.... Now i just can't wait for all their tv episodes to be on dvd, and hopefully SVU will go on and on, as long as the original Law&Order does!

I was excited to receive my copy of this item and put it on straight away to watch how ever it didn't work so i sent it back (had the same problem with Law & Order CI season 3) and I finally received my replacement to find yet again I am missing the booklet which every other person seems to get but me. plus I received this rude response when emailing Amazon about the problem. you see now don't you think If i didn't want it I would have requested a refund not a replacement for the same item. also that I would not have requested where part of my product in which I paid for was missing.

This is also one of the best SVU dvd season's yet 2003-04. I have watched it twice in the past month, and I still enjoy them as much as I did the first time I watched them.
I would recommend this dvd series to anyone that is a true fan of criminal justice shows.

DVD does not run properly 2008-02-09
I am very disappointed with this DVD set, the DVDs skip or refuse to play even after washing. Other DVDs play fine so it is not the player. What shall I do?

This is a great season.. I really love this sho and cant wait till the season comes out on disks..I think that it better them the orginal law and order altho i admitt the orginal law and order is was got me into the series...

I luv the SVU series. As soon as it is released on DVD, I buy it. I think it's the best of the franchise.

The whole concept here is rotten,not just this particular season,but since I have seen all of these episodes and have not seen every episode from every other season I will zero in on this set...To begin with Mariska,the female lead,has too much attitude...Nice for the"I-AM-WOMAN' crowd but far from realistic..I have people in my family who work for the NYPD..They say that Mariska's performances are about as much like any cop they know or have ever worked with as Santa Claus,but then who are we going to belive,real cops or the P.R. crew from Wolf Films? Indeed,most New York cops that I am either related to or know personally say that the late Jerry Orbach fits thier bill as a"real"cop,and that Mariska is just an actress making believe..Then there is the gender issue..Sure,the show wants to rope in as many viewers as possible,hence Mariska's starring role,but the NYPD is STILL an oasis of male domination,with men calling 99 per cent of the shots,even if there are women in the ranks...Another sore spot is ice-T..Most REAL cops view this guy as a thug rather than even a carictature of a fellow officer...but what can one expect when a role is cast to attract viewers rather than to reflect accuracy?The plotlines tank,especially as most of them are far-feteched,and depend upon gimmicks to"succeed"..Better one should watch science fiction than to be misled into thinking that this show in any way reflects reality..The first three or four seasons of the original LAW & ORDER were real,or at least as close to real as television is going to get..This show,while popular,is about as real as imitation cheese,and about as tasty..
