The best. 2007-11-23
Quite simply, these ear plugs are the best. Over the years, I have tried many kinds of foam ear plugs, and Hearos beats them all. If you want to save your hearing from very loud sounds or just want to block out annoying sounds, get Hearos. You'll be glad you did.

Perfect! 2007-10-04
I've been extremely please with Hearos ear plugs. I sleep every night with ear plugs (loud cats!) and Hearos are very comfortable and effective. I highly recommend if you're looking to block most noise (including people trying to talk to you!).

good good but expensive 2007-09-26
these are softer than the pink and yellow laser lites. and they block more sound. i also tried the hearos extreme kind which are 33dB. those are good too, they're somewhat thicker and blue and a tad less soft, but they block more noise.
hearos cost a lot more than howard leights. But Howard leight MAX's which are bright orange and 33dB hurt my ears after a while and hearos rarely do.
i recommend moldex pura-fit earplugs. they are lime green and a bit longer which for me blocks more sound and they don't make my ears hurt. you can get a 200 pair box of these for $25 or so which is much better than hearos bulk price. i also like the lime green because it makes it so dirt is more visible so you know when to throw them away better.

Effective ear plugs; expand to fit YOUR ear canal... 2007-07-01
HEAROS Ear Filters

This product is essential for many motorcyclists, as otherwise, hours of Interstate wind noise actually becomes painful. They are also effective while mowing the lawn, trying to sleep when the kids are making a ruckus, and in the wood-shop. When I used to target shoot with high-power rifles, these filters were a hearing saver. I own four brands of earmuffs, and this product is more effective at blocking sound than the best of them (i.e., the Peltor H10A). For maximum sound blocking (e.g., you're near a pile driver), wear these AND a pair of earmuffs.

In hot weather, these filters won't make your head anywhere near as warm as earmuffs.

This product is unsuitable for loud concerts, unless you want to block and muffle nearly all sound. To reduce volume at a concert, without [over] muffling the sound, try Hearos High Fidelity Ear Filters or Etymotic Research ER20BP High Fidelity Ear Plugs.

Washing ruins a Hearos ability to be compressed for ear insertion, as whatever chemical the factory adds (to aid compression) is removed. They are so inexpensive, just throw them out when they get dirty.

Some people have trouble getting these INTO your ear canal. Here's how I do it. Roll up and compress the smaller end of a HEROS between your forefinger and thumb, lightly lick it (for lubricant) and insert it. They expand rapidly, so you have to be quick.

Very comfortable 2007-02-06
Very soft. I sleep with them very comfortably.
If you wash them they become difficult to reinsert.

Perfect! 2008-07-22
I recently got these to help me sleep during the day with my graveyard shift.
Thes are amazing. They expand to fit your canal. Very good on external noise blocking. I've been able to get a good solid nights (ok, day's) sleep with these. Highly recommended.

Hearos is correct 2008-04-28
Hearoes to save the day. Ok maybe just your hearing. This product is as good as advertised.

Doesn't work 2008-04-13
I bought this to wear them on the commuter train so I can nap instead of listening to other people's conversations. Well, I was disappointed. It only softened the noises and I can still hear pretty much everything. If you need real sound blocking device, this is not it.

Decided to upgrade 2008-03-05
Overall these were nice earplugs. They blocked out sound as stated by 32db , but I decided to upgrade to Hearos Xtreme Protection(33db), 14-Pair Foam (Pack of 3) which were even better because of their larger size. They cost more though but worth every penny. I recommend also using Headphones additionally (the on-ear type) while this may sound counter-intuitive but actually works very well as a "total" sound blocking system. Make sure that your on-ear headphones have ear cups like the Sony's MDR-V150(only about $22). If you take a large coin/medallion and place them in the ear cups, you can gain additional sound protection along with your earplugs. The heavier the metal that can fit, the better. I sit next to an admin with a loud printer/stapler and a heavy cell phone user on the other side. Believe me, this system works well. Ear plugs alone are good, but in addition to headphones is even better. While you cannot block all sound, but you can block a good portion of it this way. The Ear plugs absorbs sound, while the headphones and heavy coin attempts to deflect the sound.

When Golden Silence Is Wanted Use HEAROS 2008-02-16
I've used various ear plugs over the years for a variety of reasons and from my experience HEAROS are some of the best not only in quality, but also in price. I've used these ear plugs before training for a play I was in where my character went death. I've also used them to plug out sounds when I couldn't go to sleep as well as when working outside with noisy equipment. They fit easily into the ear canal and are easy to take out. If you're looking for quality ear plugs at an affordable price, get HEAROS.
