Hohner equals HORRIBLE

I've been playing Blues harp for over 30 years. Hohner's customer service is despicable. They redesigned these MS Harps (Blues Harp is one) so that you have metal cutting into your mouth. They could have designed it so that the metal plate that the reeds are mounted on are tucked WITHIN the comb so that your lips are in contact with plastic or wood instead of sharp edged metal. Only an idiot would not realize this in designing this highly touted MS system. Forget about Special 20's too, they go bad after just weeks. I'm switching to Lee Oscars. Don't even try to contact Hohner it is impossible. They display complete lack of commen sense in their design and zero concern for their customers. They continue on their steady decline in quality and service. But their marketing is clever. Take my advice, stay away from this company's third rate products.

Great Sounding Blues Harp

Definately the blusiest harp I've ever played and probably will ever play.

Only complaint I have is that it wears out far too easily. If you play it like crazy and put a lot of spit in it, dont expect it to last too long.

but at $20 a pop, and with the ability to blow the roof off a performance or open mic night, it's worth it for me.

I wanted to have some pocket music and bought this exact one.

I'm loving it.

I'm not a music master, so I really do not know how it compares to other Harmonicas; I can say that it exceeds my expectations.

I carry it in the case it comes with, which I like as it protects the Harmonica very well.

A truly wonderful 'Blues Harmonica,' really!

First of all it's a Hohner.
I could stop my review right here. But I can tell you still more:

This harmonica has a perfect size.
His quality feels all over its construction. It's strong, yet friendly. Its sounds emerge purely and crystaline. But, at the same time it has that wonderful "blues" feeling that makes it such an special instrument.

I like the tonality, the style of the air flow, and the wooden structure inside it.

If you have never played an harmonica before, this is the one for you.

If you are a master at it, you already know this is the best you can get.

Go, get it, and enjoy for years to come!

smooth sound, smooth feel, smooth groove

I bought this as my first harmonica. I am by no means a harmonica expert, so I read a plethora of reviews and background info on the instruments before buying this one. I bought it because I heard it would be easy to learn on, I knew Hohner has the best reputation (only rivaled by oskar lee) and I wanted a harmonica with a wooden body.

So far I am beyond pleased and even to my untrained ear the sound is rich.

good harp for the price

I am still learning and play only for myself,but I reall enjoy this harp,it has a beutiful sound and mine has very tough,it gets alot of unintentional abuse.

Buying this harmonica and being a first time harmonica player, I was impressed at the harps user friendly style and great sound. Not to mention it's light weight makes it possible to carry with you in your pocket for everyday use. The carry case that comes along with the harmonica keeps the harp clean and dry. A must have for anyone wanting to make some blues!

nice harmonica

This was my first harmonica, and I've learned just about all the basic playing techniques with it. It's a good, accurately toned harmonica and has a beautiful sound. I've been playing in a band for a while, and playing a trombone isn't really something you can do for fun in your free time, so I bought a harmonica and I play it sometimes at school. It's easy to learn with and probably also good with professionals. The only thing I can't do yet is bend notes, but I'm not sure if that's the harmonica or just my novice skills...

Excellant Harmonica that puts out great tones if you have the wind to blow into it.I highly recommend this harmonica for all age levels.
