deserves a minus ten . . . 2008-08-28
Avoid these batteries!!!!!! They are so bad they deserve a rating of minus ten. My experience is similar to many others. Good initial performance, and then after a while these bloody Energizers can't hold a charge. Unfortunately before I discovered how crappy they really are, I bought a bunch of them, for use in my digital cameras and camera flash units. When these babies fail, performance falls like a lead balloon. They might have enough power to operate a remote control unit, but you can forget about powering anything with a major power draw.

Unfortunately Energizer is extremely successful at getting stores to stock this junk. I get real annoyed whenever I see them on display, because it reminds me of all the money I wasted. They seem to be available everywhere, a constant reminder of a disaster. How does a product that is so bad, get such great distribution and remain available for sale? Energizer probably gets off easy, because it takes a while for their batteries to go bad. By then, it's less likely that people will complain or return them. Blasting them wherever I can is like therapy for me. Believe what you hear people, these batteries are terrible!

As an alternative, I have been very satisfied with the performance of Ray-O-Vac Hybrid cells, both the AA and AAA sizes. Take a look at them.

Don't Waste your Money - stay away! 2008-08-05
I bought 16 of these batteries at 2 different times. I recently purchased a La-Crosse BC-900 charger thinking I could recover them, but they still self discharge to less than 1V in as little as 2 days, and always less than 1 week.

I have much older Energizer 1700 mAh batteries and even older (about 10 years old) Sony batteries (1600 mAh and 1450 mAh) - all hold a charge longer and work better than these 2500 mAh Energizers.

These are no good - stay away!

Great for Wii 2008-04-21
these batteries are great for the wii. Tehy will work for 3 to 5 days and then I just change them for a fresh pair. I use the slow charger I have 10 bateries for 3 controls and I'm never out of bateries.

I think these batteries are primarly for toys.

The savings will be worth the money! 2008-04-08
I bought this because I am always eating through batteries for my camera, they are more expensive up front (espically since youhave to buy a charger), but it is going to be worth it, I wont have to buy batteries for years!!

powerful!! 2008-03-21
2500 mAh Energizer AA : These batteries are POWERFUL. You will need to use an overnight charger & let them charge for the whole time listed to get the complete & fullest charge for these batteries. The quick chargers are good for keeping the teary eyed toddler from throwing a fit, then after he goes to bed, put them in the overnight charger. These batteries have been in our son's Leapfrog Clickstart keyboard for over a month & they are STILL going strong, longer than the regular AA's, and he uses it everyday. We have the C size in the console & same there, over a month now - almost 2 - lasting longer than the regular batteries did (only a month) I am completely amazed at how long they hold a charge. I am getting more because we seem to have quite a few things that need AAs. The price may seem steep at first, but we will save quite a lot in just a year by using these rechargeables.

Don't even bother 2008-03-15

good batteries, could be better 2008-02-14
i havnt had a set of rechargeable batteries without a high discharge rate, which leads me to believe that its the norm. that said, im rating these in comparison with other batteries of this type. they do what they are supposed to do. theyre batteries people, if they die out, go and buy new ones. if they lasted forever, energizer wouldnt make any money. this isnt a stride gum commercial, its a business. buy them, enjoy them, and rebuy them as necessary. take care and i hope this review helps.

These are great for small electronics 2008-02-08
Remotes, Wii Controllers, MP3 portable speakers, Umbrella Lights, X360 controllers, Solar rechargeable patio lights, and many other uses. while some reviews are that these don't hold well in digital cameras, i have found that for all of my above listed these batteries perform very very well. I own about 20+ of them, and i have yet to have one that has gone bad over the past 4 years of using this brand. My only problem is the mass amount of devices that i have that use AA batteries, and that is the only reason i own so many. The small 4 battery charger is all i use, and has worked great for years!

Very Low Quality 2008-01-01
I'm surprised at how these Energizer nimh batteries don't hold up. They don't hold their charge after a few months of use and their discharge rate is very high. Don't expect to use them after a few weeks on the shelf. I highly recommend going with a low self-discharge nimh or anything other than Energizer.

Energized All The Time 2007-12-26
What the?? For the past 2.5 years, I have used the same four Energizer 2500mAh in my Canon S3 with no issues whatsoever! They hold a charge even when my camera sits for weeks. I usually take between 100 - 300 shots when I go on vacation or to a ballgame, and I have never run out of power. Also, longevity is not an issue for usage in my Wii remotes. Go ahead and buy them.
