Initial impression: Does the job fine 2008-08-16
We've only had this for a day, but so far so good. The unit is being used as a video baby monitor that's hooked up to a Sony miniDV cam and also our Panasonic 42" plasma. There's some rolling static lines even after changing between the 4 channels and moving the position of the antennas. That gave me memories of the 80s and messing with the old school analog antenna of our TV.
Right now we're in an apartment with probably a mess of signals from neighbors, a worst case scenario in my opinion. We have a 2.4GHz phone and a 802.11b/g network and both seem fine. For our purpose this unit does the job fine, it's great not having to run a 50 ft composite cable from our son's room to the living room now.

Piece of Junk 2008-06-23
Cheap unit. Stay away. Didn't even last six months. Only worked if both units were within line of sight of one another.

Works for about short period of time and then cuts out 2008-05-26
Product seemingly works great, however after a short period of time passes it completely stops. Changing the channel and unplugging it doesn't seem to help. I have heard that overheating could be the cause of the problem, but I cannot do anything to get it working properly. It may be the previous model and corrected now.

Not HDTV but produces an incredible picture. 2008-03-27
I wanted to put a TV in my bedroom but didn't want to run any new cables through the house. So, I had used a few video transmitters in the past and was wondering if they had improved. What could it hurt to try one out. Well, after a lot of research I settled on this product. WOW, was I impressed. I was sure there would be some noticeable effect that this was video being transmitted (like in the old style units). However, there is barely anything that would indicate this. No snow, no lines, no flutters, etc... Once in a blue moon I may notice some quick instance or distortion that reminds me this is a cable less set-up. Other than that the picture is good, the sound is good, and the IR repeater works flawlessly. I am VERY happy with this purchase and am planning on buying a few more receivers for my kitchen TV and my PC. My transmitter and receiver are about 50 feet from each other with 3 walls and some various furniture in between. My microwave oven is between the transmitter and receiver and has never made the slightest glitch in the picture or sound. This is definitely and impressive product and worth every penny.

Good product, watch for conflicts with 5.8 ghz phones etc., had to buy a new set of phones or unplug them to watch tv. Video and sound is very clear.

No more wires under the house 2008-02-18
These set up in minutes and work great for standard video. There is a little ripple, but it is not worth creeping through the crawlspace to install wires for slightly better quality.

Works fine, but I expected a little more 2008-02-13
I just bought this to link my computer to the TV in the purpose of seing online movies. Since the computer is in another room, I wanted to go wireless. The image quality is pretty good and stable (not HDTV though). The only trouble was that my video card only has S-video port out, and this unit only has composite video in (RCA). That meant I had to buy an adapter ($80). Too bad this unit wasn't built with an input S-video as well. Pro: setup very easy, no interference with my 2.4 GHz phone.

I wish I had bought this a long time ago 2008-02-01
I had been using a 2.4Ghz sender for the past two years and I had lots of problems with interference. This product is fantastic, image is clear with no interference problems, WI-Fi and Microwave is not a problem anymore.
I give it only 4 stars because the range of the IR receiver seem to be shorter or less strong than my previous sender, so from time to time changing channels is a problem, however the image and sound quality of the transmission makes it up for that minor problem.

Better than nothing, not as good as I had hoped 2008-01-21
We are using this to connect a TV in the kitchen and another one in the sunroom. (purchased one system & one additional receiver) The kitchen TV is a straight shot, 20 feet between the transmitter and receiver without anything in between the two, and it works fairly well the majority of the time. However, it gets lots of interruptions and switching between the 4 different channels doesn't seem to help at all because there is one channel that gets decent reception and the other three are simply not good. We can not watch a complete program without several interruptions. It is nice to be able to share the cable box/DVR between three different TV's though (one connected directly and the two using this system) ... it's just not as great as I had hoped. We live in a two story house on a corner lot (no close neighbors to create potential interference) and this is the only 5.8GHz item in the house and, as I'd mentioned, we're not trying to bounce the signal from one floor to the other as they claim can be done. It gets the job done for the most part but hopefully they continue to improve on the quality and come out with something better in the future. I debated between three stars or four, I gave it four because it I am happy with the quality/appearance and it's the best option I've found for hooking up a TV in a room without running cable and it allows you to expand the use of your DVR/TIVO/Cable box. I'm happy with it, just not completely thrilled.
