I fell for the cheap price 2004-11-30
What? This harmonica is plastic! It's not that great. I was brought into buying it by the cheap price (I love to get a good deal) but it's just what the price says, a cheap harmonica. Not worth it.
I've always wanted a better harmonica than my current beginner 20-hole, so I wanted to change to a 10-hole. I don't know what I was thinking when I bought this, I should have known better. But I've just put this one aside and continued practicing on my old one.
Three stars were given just because it's for 2 bucks. It does what it's supposed to do, which is make noise, But if you want something with a good tone and really good feel(this harmonica is way short, barely bigger than your index finger) than I suggest going for a more expensive harmonica. It really is worth it in order to get a good sound.

Enhances my Band 2004-08-06
I used to love watching old concerts of Neil Young going from Guitar to Harmonica. This Harmonica is easy to play and adds so much to our songs. I also hae the Epiphone and singing lesson Cds, "Voice Lessons To Go" by Vaccarino. All of these really enrich me as a performing musician. A little money put out can go a long way.

Quite a decent little Harmonica 2007-07-31
Generally, I like it. I got it within two days of ordering, and it's a nice little harmonica to wail tunes on. The only real complaint I can have is that mine had (and still has)a nice big dent on the bottom. It doesn't seem to effect the playing, and it adds a sense of character to it, so I really don't mind. I've grown attached to it just as I have to all of my other instruments, so it fits right in, next to my Hohner.

ok for beginners 2006-07-16
I order this because I wanted to learn to play. I wasn't epecting much from a two dollar harmonica, but I was to cheap to buy a nice one if I wasn't sure I was going to be able to learn to play it. I was suprised at how well it worked,I was to play anything I wanted in a week. After three week the middle brace fell down on both sides so I order the same one (again trying to save money)I used it in the state fair youth harmonica contest and came out with the blue ribbon. I have been playing for 18 month, and in my penny pinching way have re-order this harmonica four time, I recived a much nicer honer from a friend and it works so much better. so guess if you've never played a nice one then you won't know the difference but if your playing pro then you'll want a much nicer one!

the price says it all 2006-07-12
you get what you pay for with this model; contrary to what someone else said- it is NOT easy to play; you really have to blow into it; a few of the really high and low notes are poor compared to better quality harps; perhaps if it is just for a practice harmonica, the low price wont hurt, but, then again, you might want to practice on a harp with a better sound

good starter stepping stone purchase for beginners or tightwads 2005-08-22
Well, like others, I fell for the cheap price(but don't regret it) and previously never even had an INTEREST whatsoever in harmonica. So, I give much thanks to the fact that this little cheapo gave me the chance to get my mouth wet(vice feet wet.haha) and discover the fun of harps. It plays well, has brass reeds, lucite plastic comb(middle)(just like the higher end Lee Oskars and Special 20 Hohners), and stainless covers. I say for the price of a Biggie fry, you get a good starter harmonica. You don't expect to get Cadillac comfort from a Kia so WHY would you give a good cheap harmonica a bad write-up just because its not top notch sound like a HIGHER PRICED harp. The sound is a little "tinnier" than my Hohners and in the beginning it was a little hard to play and needed to break in, just like any harmonica ever made(short of a Bluesharp). By harder, I mean it took a good bit of wind to sound notes and that makes smooth transitions a little harder until you learn how to play good. Now, It plays as easy as my Hohners. If you want a good solid starter harmonica- this is a great deal. If you want more from the start, go PAY more...Good harps are 16-25 dollars. Even though the saying is "you get what you pay for", in THIS case you GET more than you pay for rather than getting less for "just paying less." I mean, really folks- WHAT can you get for 1.00-2.00 these days? Not much, so this is a lot of product for a dirt cheap price.
