pocket clip 2008-02-11
The Leatherman pocket clip is a great addition to the Wave multi-tool. It eliminates the need for the bulky leather pouch and adds to the versatility of the tool. Well worth the money.

Thanks,
Chris

Great addition 2008-01-24
Okay, first of all let me clear up one point that I was a bit confused about with this product. You can use either the clip OR the ring at one time. Not both. With that said, the belt clip is solid and fits snug on the tool. It does not have the play or wobble of clip that I got for my Kick. Also, as previously mentioned, the clip/ring come off with a press on the unlocking lever. This is a nice feature if you get into a situation where the clip starts hurting your hand when using the pliers. Overall, a great addition.

Inexpensive and well made but not very useful 2008-01-07
These 2 attachments would better be termed "disposable quick releases" instead of a lanyard ring or clip. You will choose one or the other (not both at the same time) and 'install' it by pushing the outer quick-release lever and pressing the unit into the open slot you'll see on your Leatherman at the end where the quick-release sits. You will -not- be loosening the fastener at the other end and attaching it permanently... this thing is -meant- to pop off in a heartbeat and that's exactly what it will do if you ever trust it, as soon as something presses against the release lever! Vague excuses about it being meant to help the tool ride inside your pocket aside, I have to admit I just don't get it. A lanyard attachment point that can't be trusted is NOT a lanyard, but an invitation to loss. Anyway, the fit and finish of the two is up to the usual Leatherman standards, it doesn't cost much... but You Have Been Warned. The only rational use I can think of for this is if you chain the lanyard ring to your belt, then detach the Leatherman from it when you want to use it. It would be a quick and easy motion and the lanyard chain would supply some extra insurance... too bad once you install it you won't be able to fit it back in the sheath! So let's use the clip... oh wait, you can't use both at once! No, this package is NOT well thought out. I'm sure some will find it useful but for most folks, it's just a good way to lose your tool.

Get it for the Pocket Clip 2007-11-30
This is a very good accessory for the new Wave multitool. I have not used the lanyard ring (I will just use the built in ring) but I like the pocket clip very much.

It is very easy to attach, and I have had no issues or concerns with the clip detaching unexpectedly.

I can keep the clip attached to the tool when I am using the leather sheath, but the clip is very handy when I do not want to carry the sheath.

This is a big improvement over having the tool floating around in my pocket.

S&H $5.50 2007-09-28
clip works fine, i just hate it when they put this good price then hit you up with huge S&H

Much better now! 2008-04-17
I just got my new Leatherman Wave & couldn't wait to get this pocket clip because carrying it in the belt sheath just isn't me. I can't comment on the lanyard ring because I don't plan on using it, just going in the drawer for now. This pocket clip allows me to carry my Wave with a "lower profile" & that's what I wanted. It doesn't pull your pocket down or anything, keeps it right where you need it & looks really good when attached. One concern I had about it was that it would get in the way when using the tool, luckily it's not an issue with this clip. If you're like me & don't want to carry your Leatherman in the belt sheath, get this clip, you won't be disappointed.

No very practical accessory 2008-04-12
The pocket clip is nice and will holds the Leatherman firmly in your pocket.
But if you are planning to use the Lanyard Ring, think again.
It is very large and clumsy.
I tried to use it on my Wave with the leather sheath.
Since the ring is very big, the sheath can hardly close and it bends the ring.
Bottom line, i wouldn't recommend it if you are planning to use the ring.

Awesome 2008-03-24
Perfect - Perfect - Perfect
Snaps on just like it should and makes it handy to clip to pocket in-between working with leatherman. A well thought out product.

Great option when not carrying the sheath 2008-02-26
This diddy slips in quickly and nicely on my wave and surge. A great option when needing to be stealthy. It's been durable and keeps the MT from moving around in my pocket. Wish more stores had this and the bit set although Amazon service was excellent.
