Never received this item. Adorama tried to ship this item via UPS to a Post Office Box. They refunded the cost of the item but never refunded the shipping cost. I feel they should know you can't ship UPS to a P.O Box. They have never tried to contact me about the shipping problem. If they had I could have given them my 911 address.
Nice product.

Nice piece of work. It feels much better than the Canon LAH-DC20 Conversion Lens Adapter (LA-DC58E) and Hood (LH-DC40) Set for the S5 IS, S3 IS & S2 IS Digital Camera which feels flimsy
Does what it should

There's not much to review about this product accept that it does just what it should. It allows you to use 55mm filters on a 58mm lens. I know how important that distinction is as I recently accidentally bought 2 or 3 rings that all stepped the wrong direction. In any case, it's worth spending the very little money this cost as opposed to buying all new filters.
Step-down ring

This device enabled me to continue using a number of filters from my 35mm camera setup with my digital setup; in effect saving me at least a couple of hundred dollars. The difference in filter size was very small, so I've had no problem with vignetting.
