This incense is made with the leaves and ground wood of real Pinon Pine from the desert Southwest. Most commercial Pinon incenses you will find are scented with perfume and/or essential oils and tend to smell more like Chanel #5 than anything you are likely to bump into in the Grand Canyon. Because this incense is made with real thing, it smells like the real thing. Pinon pine is found in abundance throughout the moutainous and higher elevation plataeu country of the Southwest and has a wonderful smokey, sweet aroma. This is my personal favorite of all the incenses I carry - it reminds me of what its like to sleep in the desert with the smell of a crackling Pinon campfire in the air.
