It has always worked for us. 2008-12-21
We have used Frontline for all three sizes of dogs for many years through three of generations of dogs. We have never had a problem with fleas or ticks and the dogs have not had an adverse reaction to the treatment. Good stuff Maynard.

Excellent product, BUT... 2008-12-17
This is an excleent product, but it is not a miracle worker. In other words, you need to use the stuff properly. (1) this product is water resistant...not soap resistant. So if you use this stuff then go and use some of that heavily perfumes soapy shampoo that msot people use..then you are washign it right off. (2) if you chose to bathe your dog..bathe him/her first then wait 2-3 days THEN apply the product so that it will be distrubited properly. (3) Remember that if you have a heavy flea problem that you need to treat the pet and the environment. You can't jsut put it on the dog and not get rid of the fleas in your house, car, yard, etc.. Yeah it will kill the fleas on him/her, but they will get reinfested with fleas everytime they go back into the flea filled environment. This is the only product that I use for my dog. Of you purchase ANYTHING over the counter (biospot, hartz ::shudders::, etc) then you are wasting your money. Flea dips work, but they only kill the fleas that are on the dog when you bathe him/her. Frontline PLUS is great becasue it keeps killing for up to a month. Also, Frontline Plus has a better range of killing fleas than plain ole' Frontline. The "PLUS" means that it kills larvae and eggs and so much more than adult fleas. IF USED CORRECTLY and ROUTINELY this is an EXCELLENT product!!! I highly recommend it. This product also kills ticks.

Great new pet supply opportuity 2008-12-05
I don't think I have ever been Happier!! with a supplier Try them Out !!

Lowest price I have ever paid. 2008-11-19
Package arrived in perfect shape. This is the lowest price I have ever paid for Frontline Plus. There is a stock number, but no expiration date. I called the manufacturer and learned there is not an expiration date. As long as it is sealed, it's good.

So much cheaper buying it this way 2008-11-16
Buying Frontline at a vet is substantially more expensive than through Amazon. If you have used the product for a number of years via going thru the vet, this is a cheaper option.

didn't work at all :( 2008-10-28
Kills flea eggs & flea larvae & prevents all stages from developing. Also kills adult fleas & all stages of major species of ticks. Use on puppies 8 weeks & older. 6 tubes per package.

Waste of money 2008-10-16
I purchased the 3 month package and treated our dog- a beagle/basset mix. He's a puppy, and still within the weight guidelines. I might as well have just smeared Crisco on his neck. This stuff did nothing, and I mean, NOTHING for his fleas. Our yard is treated, our house was fumigated, so I know he's not tracking more in.
The Frontline that I purchased for our cat was equally worthless. So, I'm back to shampooing the two every week until enough time passes that I can treat them with something else. I'm going to go with Advantage or Revolution next time.
Your mileage may vary. From the reviews on here, it looks like Frontline's really hit-or-miss with whether or not it's going to work on your dog.

More for less 2008-10-06
I was able to get the exact same name brand that my vet sales, and at a much lower cost.

The old saying 'you get what you pay for' isn't true. With Amazon.com you can get more for what you are used to paying for.

That's $[...] I am not gonna see again!!!! 2008-10-04
First, i give this product NO STARS
I purchased frontline through the vet, it does not work, my 2 dogs still had flease after application, after 2 weeks with no results, i got Advantage, they were flea free after 20 hours. Fronline's satisfaction gurantee is a joke. I called them and asked for their guarantee, the answer "you have to use it for 3 months to get the guarantee". No thanks I am not wasting another $[...] on that crap again.

Effective but a bit expensive 2008-10-02
Our 2 puppies got it this year and, as far as I can tell, they are bug-free so far. I can't say whether this is because of Frontline or because there are no fleas in surroundings but, until evidence to the contrary emerges, I will give Frontline the credit.

The makers claim that Frontline Plus kills all fleas and prevents re-infestation for up to one month. For 'paralysis tick' protection, bi-weekly application is recommended but results are not guaranteed.

The product comes in a number of 'pipettes' that contain an oily-sticky liquid that is applied on the back of the dog's neck's, on the skin (must part the coat until the skin is visible). The makers recommend monthly applications.

I found it easy to treat the dogs. Given the relatively high price of this product, I've been using one pipette for our 2 puppies. As they are now big, this may no longer be an option but I can see how this option could be a money saver for anyone who has 2 'not so large' dogs.

I am taking one star away because of the ridiculously high price.
