Very good price for a very good cable

As soon as I opened the package I knew that this cable really deserved the money. It looks very sturdy, the video cable is very thick and I think it's gonan last long. It's a very convenient solution for video&audio transfer between PC and TV. Do not go for any other cables but this one.

Exactly what I needed

I can connect my TV to my laptop easily with this cord! The sound and picture are great. Also, I can keep my laptop close so I can easily change the video.

A good buy. I liked the price and it is a superior quality. I use the 25 foot from my computer to my TV for watching TV shows that I record.

Not bad

I bought this to connect my laptop to my LCD TV and play movies via Netflix. First off, it only supports 800x600 and 1024x768 resolutions, which isn't the widescreen I was hoping for. I'm not sure why it doesn't support others. The sound is fine though, and when playing full screen movies the quality looks fine. When not playing movies, however, text is really hard to read and picture quality looks poor.

But, though it has cons, it does exactly what I bought it to do so you can't knock that.

awesome cable

With this s-video to 3 rca cable set up is a breaze. Just plug the one end into your computer and the other to the tv or possibly a dvd burner. The picture comes thru perfectly,actually so does the sound. We have our tv run through a home theatre system so its great. I haven't had any problems so far, I highly recommend this cable if you want to watch movies or even if you have a wireless keyboard & mouse and just want to use the tv as a bigger monitor.

Sound CHECK

The cord serves it purpose well, but there are some major malfunctions. First the pros. The picture quality is GREAT. Bravo. Sadly, the sound has major problems. There will be lots of static that appears randomly throughout viewing. I thought it might be the TV, but the static expresses itself on multiple TVs. I also know it is not the computer because i plug in other speakers and the sound is fine. This leaves me with one big problem with the cord, any time I want to watch something from the net on my TV, I have to expect to not be able to hear certain parts and put up with the annoying static.

I'm sure there's nothing wrong with the cable, but...

The cable seemed like just what we were looking for when it arrived. However - be very aware before you buy this that the S-video is a 4 pin connector. This does not work with some video cards, which also have an S-video connection - a 9 pin connection. This cable will not plug into a 9 pin connector. We have yet to find a suitable adapter to make this work.

As I said, probably nothing wrong with the cable itself - just make sure it is exactly what you need!

Just what we were looking for

The wife gives this purchase a big thumbs up (a rarity among techie purchases). Picture isn't great, but convenience and price are. I plug the s-video into my video card and the audio into the headphone jack, works great. Note that you may have to play with your video card settings to get output going to your s-video port and look for something like "full screen playback of video" option for your secondary (TV) display. In other words, ff this cable doesn't work for you out of the box, likely not the cables fault. I used VLC media player for playback.

Watch online episodes

watch online shows,your pictures, powerpoints, etc on your tv from your laptop. Don't expect HD quality or high quality surround sound, but works well. If you are using with a desktop with a good speaker system, audio wouldn't be necessary.
