DVD-RAM 2008-07-01
Very useful and quality format. Too bad more players of all kinds are not suited to this media.

DVD-RAM 2008-06-30
I have 3 yr good experience with use of Panasonic DVD-RAM discs for recording movies

Quality product 2008-06-20
I bought a Panasonic DVD recorder a 3 years ago and bought a couple of Panasonic RAM discs at the same time and have recorded on them and erased them hundreds of times. I bought this 10-pack as the price was good and they are getting scarce in the stores and I have had great success with them over the years. I suspect they will last me until I'm 157 years old.

Pansonic DVD RAM Discs 2008-06-19
Bought them for my Panasonic DMR-EZ47K Recorder which had problems freezing occassionaly with SONY RW DVDs. With the RAM discs, no problems, recorder boots up quicker and has not frozen. Definitely the way to go for recording off the air..

A must have for the digital age! 2008-05-21
These are great! With my Toshiba player, I can cut out commercials, delete unwanted sections, and it frees up the space. You can even transfer it to a PC really easy by copying the largest file to the computer and renaming it to .mpg. You don't need a ripping program. The best thing about this is that you don't have to waste any discs to transfer video to your computer since you can just erase it and reuse it an infinite amount of times.

This also acts like a large floppy disc (or small hard drive depending on your point of view) where you can just drag files in an out of the disc. It makes it perfect for backing up your files since you don't have to destroy the old disc like with DVD+/-R and don't have to waste time erasing/re-burning with DVD+/-RW. A fast combo drive costs like $30 too so its dirt cheap these days to upgrade.

It's not as cheap as DVD-R but at $1.90, that's cheaper than what I used to pay for decent VHS tapes and this is much better!

Ok for what it does 2008-02-08
It lets you edit but can only be played on the machine it was recorded on.

Why No Faster RAM Disks?!!! 2008-02-07
It's a darn SHAME that after so many YEARS, anything over 3x speed is as scarce as Hen's Teeth! Why is this? There is no excuse for drive manufacturers to constantly advertise their high speed drives that can write DVD-RAM @ 12x, 20x blah blah blah... SO WHAT?!!!!!!! What good does that do us when we cannot find media capable of this faster speed?! Ridiculous and irresponsible. This technology is a neat as sliced bread, yet we are still unable to fully enjoy it after so long. BAH! We need to blast email the drive manufacturers to shut up about their high speed RAM capabilities until they do something about the lack of media. nuff said...

Good Enough 2008-01-20
Bought this for a Panasonic DVD recorder. It was supposed to let me record 8 hours but it doesn't. Not the fault of the DVD - but Panasonic.

Excellent Product 2008-01-12
I've transferred video from my Toshiba recorder to my Panasonic recorder many times and had very few problems. Unlike a DVD-R you don't have to finalize the disc. I'm surprised this product is no longer sold in major stores such as Best Buy, Sears or Radio Shack.
