Each package includes 1 Yamaha ivory 3-piece soprano recorder (with Baroque-English fingering) and 1 copy of the Do It! Play Recorder! book and CD. Do It Play Recorder is a fine method book with a theme & variations format that allows students to progress at their own pace; many musical styles are included. The included CD is great for home practice. A great way to save on your favorite recorder and a new method book! This recorder does not come with a cleaning rod - we recommend purchasing a separate cleaning rod.

Very good approach with first class CD

OK, I have to admit this is an excellent supplement to my own book, "The Recorder From Zero, vol. I" especially for the high quality CD which includes acoustic (i.e. non-synthsized) music perfomance and accompaniments for most of the pieces in the book in many different styles. Throw in the recorder and this is really an incredible deal. It's marketed towards children but any adult would also have fun using these materials. I plan to use this book in addition to my own for teaching.
