Lexar's Pro Series is the way to go 2006-08-22
Fast read/write times are a must for me. I am pleased so far with the card.

compact flash card 2006-07-06

An Executive Decision 2006-07-03
Lexar Compact Flash Cards have a good reputation amongst many digital photography professionals. The "WA" (write-acceleration) feature provides added value to distance this card from the competition. Excellent return on investment! A MUST buy. ~"O"

Had pix loss w/Lexar cards 2006-03-25
About three years ago, maybe four, I bought two Lexar CFII cards. One never worked, the other worked, but lost all data. I wrote to Lexar, that I had two bad cards, they sent me one new card of the same size. I gave that to my girlfriend & told her to only use it on pix she didn't care about losing. I still have my card, in a ziplock. None of the file removal programs will get the images off, & I've used all of them, & had their (file removal) tech help give up.

In this day & age of "just make the item" I am upset. But you take your chances. Do you want the only picture of your great grand-mother lost because you used a Lexar? I wouldn't, I use an actual sandisk card, myself.

If they ever (Lexar) made it right, I may have written a better review, but they haven't. So that tells me that they don't care.

How important are your pictures to you?

Frederick

Very fast ... not sure of its reliability 2006-03-15
When I bought my camera, the vendor included one of these cards as part of the package. It was very quick--far faster than any of the 512MB cards I had on hand, even those that were of the previous generation of "professional" Lexar cards. My camera seems to have no delays writing from its buffer to the card, to the point that I can easily shoot multiple frames per second repeatedly.

My only complaint is in the card's reliability. After about a month of medium-load use (about 1000 photos taken), the card ceased functioning while within the camera. Neither could my camera read or format it nor could any of my card readers (including the PC Card slot on my laptop with a CF adapter). The image "rescue" software provided by Lexar on the card was of no use, either.

Lexar replaced the card, which has worked fine ever since. However, I purchased a second one, which subsequently also failed after about 2000 photos taken. Again, the included ImageRescue software failed to help--it found errors but could not do anything about them--but a commercial image recovery tool I purchased was able to read, then reformat, the card, and it has worked reliably since.

Don't buy this card! 2008-03-04
I'm a professional photographer, and I bought this card because of its
writing speed. After using it for a couple of months I would try to review
images in the camera and would get messages that the file was unavailable.
I'd reformat the card and it would tell me that I had twice the images I was supposed to.
I sent it back to Lexar for replacement and they said they never received it.
I've used other cards from other manufacturers without any problems.
I'll never purchase another Lexar product.

Confusion 2007-11-04
The item was ordered, the seller accepted the debit card, later refunded the money, and the item was never sent. No communication was made with me, so I lost time thinking that the compact flash card was on its way. Not sure what happened there and remain confused.

Thanks for listening,
Lee Vanden Bosch

Great Speed 2007-10-04
This flash card is great. I always thought the delay between pictures was due to the digatal camera, but I found out it was the other flash cards I was using. With this flash card I can take one picture right after another one without any delay.

Excellent Card 2007-04-10
I bought this to go with a Canon Digital Rebel and it was love at first sight. It is fast and I have never lost a picture from it. One note for anyone considering this - copy the software off it to a dvd or something as I forgot to and after formatting the flash in the camera, I now don't have the recovery software that Lexar is now charging for. I love this compact flash card and have to keep my eye on it as my daughter is constantly trying to switch it out with a cheap one of hers.

Excellent service from Lexar 2006-11-09
I own many Lexar memory cards and am very satisfied with their performance. However, I must add that LEXAR (USA) provides EXCELLENT service. I live in Cape Town, South Africa..... whilst I was formatting one of my LEXAR cards in my Nikon D70, I terminated the formatting halfway (accidentally).... card was damaged..... sent card to LEXAR USA after logging the problem in their website and within 10 days I had a brand new card couried to me by LEXAR..... no questions asked.... This is outstanding service!!! Well done Lexar.....Exceeded expectations!
