Stone Enhancer Rocks
2007-05-07
I have two uses for the stone enhancer--both are indoor applications.
The newly installed tumble stone in bathroom showers came alive when water was applied, but those colors faded as the stone dried. After painting (and wiping) the stone with StoneTech's Enhancer, the dull surface finish was replaced by the rich natural colors in the stone, and they remain vibrant.
The second application is a 50 year old stone fireplace, floor-to-ceiling, and 20 feet wide. The first step was to sandblast(most of the soot was removed). The enhancer did as much for the dark grout as for the light stones. The light colors of the fireplace stone darkened (and brightened) perceptibly.
In terms of coverage, my two gallons lasted for two applications in 14 shower stalls (I operate a small motel), and the fireplace. Although the Enhancer also protects the stone, I've followed up with StoneTech's Bulletproof Sealer to protect the showers from spilled hair conditioner, or similar stains.
It takes a little elbow grease to apply and wipe down the stone, but the dramatic effects make the job worthwhile.
