Two month trial worked, we'll see about 6 months..........

We're snowbirds, splitting the year in half, and have always had to find someone to watch my wife's plants.
This year we decided to try these spikes. We put a couple plants on them for about 2 months, with good results, so decided to see if they'd make it until our return in November. We got some 18 gallon totes for water reservoirs (netting about 14 gallons). The test plants were in 10" pots with 2 spikes each and took about a gallon per month for both.
I'll try to remember to update this review on our return, but we are expecting the same satisfactory results.

My husband and I were leaving on a 10 day cruise and I didn't want to bother anyone to water our plants. The Self-Watering Probes worked great! In fact my plants looked even better on our return from vacation than they normally do with me watering them. I highly recommend them to travelers and people with hectic schedules.

I received the item in really speedy time. I was going away for 3 weeks and needed to have time to test the product as well as set it up.
It worked. I just arrived home and all of my plants survived.
Perfect for brainless people

I admit it. I'm a complete retard.
I keep forgetting to water my plants and they die on me.
Not anymore, thanks to these self-watering probes.
I place a 2L juice jug next to the plant, poke a hole in the cap, drop the tube in, and stick the probe into the roots. Viola! the plant is watered for better part of 2 weeks.
It's much easier to remember to refil the jugs once every 2 weeks instead of everyday.
thanks to these probes, my plants are green and lucious!
Works great!

This works great! Just make sure the ceramic probe doesn't dry out; which I think happens when the source becomes dry. Did a great job whenever I was out of town-now it's permanently on and watering the plants is completely taken care of!
Excellent

These 5 watering probes have eliminated a lot of work for me. I have large vases sitting next to my flowers which I fill with water every few days, and I don't have to worry about forgetting my plants or overwatering them.
Great for vacations or extended work travel

I just got back from a two week work trip. I ordered these Self-Watering Probes to try on two medium to large plants that I have. The probes worked great! Both plants looked fresh and happy when I arrived back home.
just perfect

These are great!
I have one each in all my houseplants now since I am going away for 2 weeks. I have ben testing them to see how much water they would need. I reckon a gallon jug will do it for sure.
I noticed one was working for a while and then dried up, not sure why, maybe because I placed the thing at the side of the plant instead of the middle. I will resoak it and then see if it works this time.
I just love them and am going to buy 5 more for my herb containers outside, not sure if they will work outside but worth a try... so much better than having to ask a neighbour to come around.
Excellent idea

The Self-Watering probes worked perfectly. We lost several plants during our last vacation but none this time using the probes. Just make sure the water source is at the proper height in relation to the plant.
Works as advertised

Easiest way ever to keep plants alive. Just keep them from running dry and they work perfectly. You have to resoak and reprime them if you let them run dry.
