Great product! 2008-08-08
I don't understand why some said this was difficult to assemble, it took less then an hour. I really like how flexiable it sets up for new jobs. The quick dismounting system for saw, including legs to use the saw quickly on a bench or table, nice touch. I give this stand a thumbs up!

Forget this stand and buy the T4B 2008-07-17
When I purchased this stand the T4B stand was not available. I have used the table saw stand similar to the T4B for several years and love it. I even get comments from friends about how nice that it is.

For storage purposes, the T3B is ridiculous. I have the Bosch 10" Miter Saw and you could not set the stand upright easily without it falling over. The T4B does not have that problem and the saw is very balanced on it.

You will regret not spending the extra to buy the T4B in the long run.

Not too bad.... 2008-07-10
I got the stand as part of a package deal with the Bosch 12" compound slider, which I use for interior and exterior trim work, and particularly wooden gutters. Properly balanced and set-up and using an accessory roller stand, the base easily handles the range of 18 to 40 foot lengths of stock I work with. It also provides good support for coping cuts, adding returns, chopping wells, drilling thimble holes and adding lead flashing. One thing I have added is a tool tray which interlocks on the extension arms to hold tools, chisels, etc.

Because the saw is carried on and off the jobsite daily, the wheels and portability are critical. I have found it is easier to control by holding the legs extended, like a wheelbarrow. Going over rough ground is not as bad as one would expect, but the big problem I was having was that the locking caps on the wheels kept pulling off and this tended to bend the bracket. The problem was the hardness of the axle preventing the locking caps from getting a good hold. While I could have changed the axle for softer steel, I decided to stay with the stainless and drill out holes for cotter pins and washers to hold the wheels on the azle. This has solved the problem

Bosch Miter saw stand 2007-11-03
Made in China. Poor design, Bosch saw cuts in manufacturing costs and quality...... All in all performs satisfactory..

not worth the money or the effort - even if you're lazy or new 2007-10-24
I am both lazy and new to woodworking, and I'm already planning on replacing this thing. I am a big fan of Bosch stuff - it typically just has a neat feel to it that lets you know they put a lot of thought into the usability of their products.

In this case, as other readers have mentioned, this thing was a pain in the neck to put together. In the end it is flimsy and the adjustments lack the ingenuity and refinement I expect from Bosch. You are without a doubt better off throwing something together with a sturdy base and cleverly configured stops.

If you really need something like this for portability (outdoors or on-site), you might be better off with a sturdier multi-purpose stand and repeatable cutting jig. This thing just does not make the grade.

This is the stand to own 2007-08-22
Having used just about every stand on the market, the Tracrac stand (and it's Bosch/Hitachi variants, I have the Bosch)is where it's at!

I purchased my stand over 2 years ago. Back in the day before "factory pre-assembly". I don't remember how long it took me to assemble, but not so long that I needed to cry about it.

mounting the base: Balance is VERY important. If you have a compound slider, think about the position of the saw as you CARRY it. I happen to carry mine with blade about 1/3 of the way in. (This suits how I store it in my truck and keeps from having to reach around the handle while carrying it.) What I am getting at is , if at all possible, balance the saw on the mount as you would carry it, as that is how you will drop it into the stand. when my stand is set up (reasonably level), I can drop my saw on it and it will sit there,... UNLATCHED. As a result I don't have to worry about it falling as I dog it to the stand.

The adjustable leg: If you have set the stand up where you can't adjust it to stable with that leg. You probably shouldn't be setting up there in the first place. It gives you a couple of inches in either direction.

The wheels: Yeah, they're small. But it is sold as a saw STAND not a saw dolly. Having them is sweet when you want to cruise from one end of the house to the other. They can handle a driveway/walkway that is in reasonable condition. If I have to go from front yard to back yard, I slide the saw to one end of the stand and carry the whole deal on my shoulder using the legs to balance the unit. Not much more than a bag of concrete. Bigger wheels sure would be nice, but really would only make it harder to store.

My gripes: 1. extension supports: for the sake of space, I remove them for storage. It would be nice if I didn't have to 're-calibrate' them when I re-attach them. Not that that is a huge chore.
2. the rotating stop: it would be nice if it was a flip stop instead of the contraption that it is. Not that it is excessively hard to use, but if it was easier I think I would use it more than I do.

All in all, I would still take this stand over any other I have had the (dis-)pleasure of working with.

There are better tables than this one! 2007-08-14
Table is too flimsy to support the saw properly; who would put an expensive saw on this flimsy table? Completly usless! I purchased a Rigid table to replace this one which was cheaper & 10 times better!

Nice 2007-07-28
I read all of the other reviews before purchasing this table and I was a little apprehensive but after bitting the bullet money wise I found it to be a great buy, well built , not very hard to assemble , you just need to have a good tape to get everything lined up. Great buy...

Heads up for potential Ridgid buyers 2007-07-21
I was going to buy the T3B until I saw how small the wheels were and discovered that the stand wasn't really meant for use as a saw storage device. These were two extremely important points for me. I had considered the Ridgid MS-UV when they first came out but decided to stick with my B&D Workmate setup. That got old. I recently looked at a neighbor's MS-UV, liked what I saw, and headed to Home Depot. I had read other reviewer's comments about $99 sale on the MS-UV so I was hoping for a bargain. Well my local store had 3 MS-UVs in stock but the price was $169. I bought one anyway, headed home, and opened the box to discover why the stands were previously $99. The "original" MS-UV was discontinued and remaining stock was sold at a discount. The one in stores now is completely different and you mount your saw (in my case a Bosch 3915) to rails which then clamp to the MS-UV bed. I considered returning the thing but decided to give it a try. So far so good.
