Mostly love it
2008-07-02
I love most every part of this keyboard/mouse combo. I use it every day, and have had it about a month. The mouse is small, fits my hand very nicely. I absolutely love the separate numb pad, works perfect for my needs. The keyboard is quiet, and easy to use. I am getting used to not having a cap indicator. What I do not like about the keyboard, in fact I hate it...is the space bar sticking. Some days are much worse than others. I had read many reviews before purchasing this specific item, and I knew there were definitely problems with that. It would be perfect, if only.....
Software is a bit confusing....

I like this keyboard as I needed something that was small.
It takes a bit to get used to the keypad being "somewhere else" but it's convenient to have the calculator too. You DO have to like the keys of a lap top better than a regular keyboard; meaning the keys are right next to each other, low and compact...but quiet too, which I like! The software was confusing because there are several models of this set and this one doesn't have all the fancy things like allowing you to get email or some such crap. Where some other model does OTHER things than just being a calculator and keypad. The help panel shows a mediapad tab on the software which you will NOT see with this version...it is NOT a mediapad. So don't get confused...if you want the mediapad you need to get the other model, not this one. Other than that...I love this one.
Convenient seperate 10-key pad

This is a very useful keyboard for someone who needs to type but not necessarily need the 10 key pad all the time. It also takes of less desk space when you need to conserve space in your area.
Pros - good quality feel, nice keys and media buttons are not enourmous
Cons - the 10 key pad's lcd screen displays decimals as commas.
Good product to purchase
Great Combo

If you want a wireless keyboard that is light and has the feel of a laptop but the spacing of a normal sized keyboard then look no further.

Great devise, good battery life, keypad and mouse work great. Regrets: no way to elevate the keypad as one can do with the keyboard.

I've owned this keyboard for about a month now, nothing bad to say about it, other reviews have mentioned problems with te space key, I have not experinced any issues whatsoever.
My goal was to find a desktop keyboard, with less key travel then your standard keyboard, and more along the lines of a laptop keyboard. This item has fufilled all my wants and needs.
I will go along with the fact that the mouse that is included is very poor, but I purchased a Logitech LX5 wireless mouse, and was pleased to see that the RF reciever that came with the keyboard, picked up the new mouse, so no need for two recievers.
If you're in the market for a quiet, well built, wireless and stylish keyboard, this is the one for you.
Nothing bad to say about it at all. The detached mumeric keypad works great, and also looks great on the desk.
One other thing.... The keyboard does have fold down feet if desired, there were complaints that the numeric keypad did not, so the height did not match, well, all you need to do is use the included numeric keypad cover, upside down, and slide you numeric keypad into that, and there you have the same height for both if you prefer the keyboard to be elevated.
The palm rest cleans up very nicely with just a soft cloth
All good to say, with the exceptiion of the mouse, count on buying a replacement
Great keyboard

Although it may seem expensive this keyboard is worth every penny. It's essentially a laptop keyboard the size of a regular keyboard. Being able to detach the keypad is a great feature for people like me who have limited desk space. The keys feel great, the only issue is the "0" on the keypad, I don't know why they have a "000" next to it and I often hit it by mistake; but it's not bad enough to want to knock down a star from this oherwise great product.
good keyboard but insert/delete keys not placed in standard way
2007-02-23
I like the keyboard, the keys feel nice and there seem to be no apparent problems with the wireless connection. The only thing I really hate is that the delete key spans across two keys and when I want to hit insert I hit delete instead. I type fast and I don't look at the kayboard when typing, and this causes lot of trouble. I think that Logitech should offer one of these with standard key placement. And when I get used to the different layout, then I get into trouble with standard PC keyboards I must use elsewhere because I then hit wrong keys again for the same reason. Anyway, I don't see why this was done and I am against these "innovations".
Regarding the mouse---the mouse is crappy, the cursor movement is not too smooth and the mouse is too small for a normal hand. But I didnt get this for the mouse, it's just unnecessary.
Very elegant desktop solution

The keyboard is fantastic. It's dead quiet. There is no clacking whatsoever. The feel is soft and resilient, yet very solid. I'm not sure how to describe the ergonomics, but here goes nothing. It has the solid feel of a top of the line desktop keyboard, combined with the shorter key travel of a laptop. If it's possible to enjoy the act of typing, this keyboard is as close as I've encountered. I can't give it 12 stars, so 5 it is.
The separate numeric pad has similar ergonomics, with the added bells and whistles of a digital clock (very nice touch) and a room thermometer (not sure of the need for this, but it doesn't interfere with anything.) As an added bonus, this unit also functions as a stand alone calculator. I don't often use a number pad, so I appreciate that it can be set aside and out of the way. Again, 5 stars.
Now the less than glorious. Considering how well thought out this package is, the mouse appears an afterthought. It is very, very small, with only minimal functionality - right and left buttons, with a scroll wheel. I'm not going to trash this mouse, because unlike Logitech's abysmal LX7 Cordless Optical Mouse, it works reliably and predictably. But, just because it works as it's supposed to, doesn't make it worthy of high praise. It's average and ordinary in every respect. By itself, it's not even worth rating. Ho hum, ho hum. But given how great the rest of this package is, it's a disappointment. I'd rate it 3 stars from any company other than Logitech. When it comes to mice, I expect more from them. 2 stars.
But on the whole? I'm very pleased with this package.
