Solid and very adjustable

This door security bar is very adjustable and solid. The foot rotates very easily for easy adjustment. It's also lightweight enough so that it can be handled with just one hand. I'd recommend this product to anyone who rents and would like to further secure their place without major renovation.

I have one of those door handles that moves up or down and was worried this wouldn't work, but it works perfect. No one is getting though that door with this bar there. It is adjustable, strong, totally sturdy and secure.
security in an insecure time 2008-05-05
In the last six months, we've had about seven break-ins in our apartment complex. The police are doing what they can with an MO that includes knocking on your front door and if you don't answer, it gets kicked in. This prompted us to buy these door bars and we're very happy with them. They were easy to put together and easy to maintain. I recommend them to anyone in a similar situation.

I am a single female living in an apartment that has its own outside entrance. My friend came over and we tested it out - he stood outside and tried to "break in" and the security bar really held the door closed well. I would recommend when you put the bar in at night that you use your foot to kinda pound in the bottom of the bar (the part on the floor) to give it a little more of a wedge.

This is an outstanding Security bar. I had one that I bought for near the same price and was cheaply made. This is heavy duty. You can adjust it down or up by the inch. Thank you for the great deal.

easy to set up, use on the kitchen rear door and basement door. i wish the base that connects to floor had a better grip. didn't test it by kicking it. assuming it works.

This is a simple, elegant solution to add extra security to a locked door. I got this so my wife could secure our bedroom door when I'm away. Totally mobile....take it with you to a hotel (for example) and when you're in the room no one can enter...pass key or not.
