physically fun!! 2007-08-20
this game is fun. you juke, you move, you swing, you sweat... your arms hurt. if the sensor was a little move accurate to pick up all your moves and the graphics were better this would be an all time fave, but whaddya expect for 30 bucks. its easy to travel with and easy to hook up. plus you can set the kids free on it, knowing that thier not just sittin there like big american potatoes... makes me wanna get a wii

Kids love it and exercise! 2007-07-06
My 4yr old LOVES this game and has defeated the entire thing. As he gets plenty of exercise we got it largely to help him with practicing and persistence. Lots of sweaty hours later and he mastered it! (I on the other hand am to level II.)

The blue cover came off the lightsaber but it works fine without it.

Great for kids (and kids at heart) of all ages (our 1yr old enjoys it as well, has even beat the first ObiWan).

Doesn't work very well. 2007-07-04
I bought this as a gift for my son. He is a Star Wars fanatic. But it was not really worth the buy. The "eye" does not pick up very well. He would be playing and his "saber" wouldn't work. I moved the "eye" every which way, but was unable to get it to constantly pick up my son's movement. If it wasn't for that, this would be a fun toy.

It works, but get's a bit too hard quickly 2007-05-25
I got this for my 4 year old nephew who happens to LOVE swords. First off, this game actually works well enough once it's set up properly. The graphics are about in-between the original Nintendo and Sega Genesis and are smooth enough.
However, even I (an avid gamer) was finding myself frustrated when trying to beat certain characters or levels just a few levels into the game.
Expect your child to have hours of fun with this system, but do not expect him to be able to beat it.

Ok 2007-05-19
Well, it was pretty cool at first, like, blocking all the blasters, and other lightsabers, BUT the graphics are horrible and it is nothing like the real thing. The laser blasts have been slowed down a ton, and it is hard to find where your lightsaber is. Furthermore, it broke after I dropped the lightsaber.
:-(

Light Saber Fun 2007-12-26
This is a fun toy but a little bit hard to get used to/calibrating the saber etc. It is definately for older kids- maybe 7-8 ish(which is what they rec.). I got it for my 5 year old and he's done well but it requires some reading. My husband really liked it. Easy to set up (plug/install batteries)

Much fun for my 5 year old 2007-12-17
My son absolutely loves this game, as does his brother and 2 cousins. Some of the moves are a bit tough for a young kid, but it sure gives them a work-out. It has proven to be very durable, withstanding more than any toy should. I would definitely recommend it for the Star Wars fanatic in your house.

Disappointing 2007-11-23
I bought this for my boys (ages 10,8 and 5) who are HUGE Star Wars fans...very disappointed. This game is nearly impossible for my ten year old...I even had a hard time mastering the moves. Too frustrating for kids AND adults, thus it sits in the game drawer untouched. Save your money.

Great option to couch potato video games! 2007-11-05
Purchased for my then 13 year old son - the game itself it is a tad tricky (some of the moves can be frustrating), but good for someone who likes a challenge and definitely gave a great workout! I was thrilled to see him actively slashing the light saber around while defeating the levels rather than working on some tiny controller which only required quick finger movements. A negative was having to set the "camera" ball just so - the top of the tv was too high in our entertainment center, so you might end up experimenting with the best place to position it.

Not for whiney kids who are quitters 2007-10-18
My son got this game shortly after he turned seven. It was difficult but he was determined. At times he got frustrated and railed at the game, "This guy is impossible to beat!" Three hours later he had conquered that level. He is stubborn, smart and tenacious, and that is why he loved this game.

If your child is a crybaby who gives up easily, they won't like it. If you like to present you child with challenges to overcome, this is a great game. I like it much more than your typical handheld game because more than the child's thumbs get a workout. My son spent about five hours a day for nine days straight playing this game (it was Christmas break) because he was determined to win the entire thing. He was often covered in sweat and got sore muscles from swinging the somewhat heavy light saber. It's not a workout that is on par with a good game of real-life soccer, but it beats the heck out of a Game Cube when it comes to getting some exercise.

Even after he defeated it he continued to play it regularly until the excitement wore off. Almost two years later, he will still play it some times. As for long term staying power at holding a child's interest, this game has a lot more than most.

Don't buy it if you've got a child who is a quitter. I don't have one of those kids, and my son loved the game.

Dora the Explorer Mr. Face Plush Backpack Dora the Explorer Mr. Face Plush Backpack
Review: My daughter is a big Dora fan and uses this backpack to carry around her favorite toys and books, which is why I gave it 5 stars for educational value. My friend's daughter has it as well, and love hers too. We've had it 6 months now and it's holding up just fine. The map opens up for an added bonus. My daughter likes to wear it and sing the backpack song from the show.
Star Wars Episode III: Darth Vader Voice Changer Helmet Star Wars Episode III: Darth Vader Voice Changer Helmet
Wow, do I ever wish they had this out when I was a kid! I bought it, and my wife, kids and I have all been playing with it. It has a chest box with several buttons that plays about 5 of Darth's quotes from the movies, or you can switch it to voice changer. The voice changer is fun! It has 3 different levels of depth for changing the voice. ... A must for Star Wars Geeks!!!!
