Overpriced

Although it is way overpriced, I bought this item out of necessity, as I lost my previous one. It was delivered and is functioning as expected.

Genie One-Button Remote with Intellicode

Well what can you say about a remote? Either they work, or they don't! This one worked. It worked well. The price was very good, the Amazon merchant packed it well, and shipped it quickly. I am glad I ordered it. Then again, I had no choice. Genie only gives you one remote with the model garage door opener I installed. I could have bought a remote directly from Genie at a considerably higher price. And, the local home-improvement store only carried a mini keychain version of the remote for double the price. Keychain remote seemed impractical because key ring gets banged around and it would make keys feel bulky in pocket.

This was a good deal, good value, and good experience. I would not hesitate to do again.

Intellicode Works Fine

I bought this unit to replace a hard-wired Intellicode button inside the garage for closing and opening the door from the inside. The hard-wired switch never operated correctly, or more precisely, sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. The single-button remote is much cheaper than a new hard-wired button and provides a spare car remote if it is ever needed.

Loose Prongs

As for garage door remotes, its average. The only problem I had with it, is that the prongs that hold the battery come loose from time to time, making the remote not work. I just bend them back in to tighten the connection.

Needed Extra Opener

We needed an extra opener to accommodate an additional vehicle. The remote serves that function admirably. The only issue is the instructions did not point out the location of the "smart" button for my particular opener to program the remote. The instructions said to look on the back of the opener. The button was actually near the lights on the front. I am very satisified with the purchase.

Does exactly what it is supposed to do, for a great price... what more can you ask for? I got two remotes shipped to my door for less than one would cost locally. Works great with my Overhead Door Company garage door opener, just like they said it would.

Easy to use

This universal remote control was very easy to get working by following the instructions included with the remote. My garage door opener is a Genie so I am not sure how well this remote would work with other brand openers.

Product was the same as the one I've had for 10 years. Very dependable. But my local hardware store wanted TWICE the price I paid for the identical item.

I know, overblown headline title, it's a garage door opener.... push the button and the door opens. Programs easy, and have had no problems with them out of the package. Go ahead, buy 3..... reasonable cost, and they work....

Arrived pronto and was just what I needed. Newer products won't work with my older existing door. Included a battery as well!! It's perfect.
