This item was purchased as a gift for my girlfriend. She has been very pleased with this player, and especially likes the slightly larger 8" screen. Most players have a 7" screen, and this one is easier to watch. The controls are very easy to use, and it came with some very useful accessories (travel case, headphones, and car charger). Definitely worth the price.

Amazing product . The Grandkids love to watch the DVD player while we go on our trips. Peace and quiet for Grandpop,while the kids enjoy the movies !!
LCD DVD 2006-11-03
This car kit works very well. The screen is a bit larger than other DVD players of similar type. The only down side is that the battery only charges for about 2 hours (shorter than many movies). So, if you are going to use this in the car, you need to be able to charge it.
Wonderful Product 2006-11-02
We bought this portable DVD player for a road trip with our two sons ages 11 and 9. While we don't generally encourage watching a lot of movies, this was the best purchase we had made in a long time. It was a long trip, with many traffic and weather delays, so this product certainly helped keep our boys busy. It has two headphones so noone was complaining that they couldn't hear. It kept it's charge the entire trip-over eight hours- and comes with an easy adapter for recharging in the car or in a hotel. My husband and I also used it when the boys were asleep. The headphones let us watch without disturbing their sleep. I would certainly recommend this to anyone.
A MUST for trip w/ small children 2006-10-17
We bought this unit from Sam's Club right before a trip to Disney World. (8 hours in the car with a toddler--eek!) However, it was/is perfect! We still use it for trips around town when we're in massive traffic or our son is being really fussy. The case that keeps the dvd player on the back of the seat needs a little work, but we figured out a way to make it work for us. Also, the remote doesn't work well, but we don't really need to use it as a DVD usually lasts long enough between stops.

I bought this as a gift, and my wife loves it. Nice picture, good sound, and no problems so far. (She is pretty hard to please, and I hope she doesn't read this)
The player is good, but . . .

I now need a new battery for this player and I've found it near impossible to find a battery and when I did find one, it cost $80.00 plus shipping. That's a disappointment.
DVD On the Road 2007-03-11
Can't get a break from the constant talking and laughing and questions of a reunion or get-together? Grab the 8" Portable LCD DVD Player with Car Kit and go out to the park. You're greeted with the quiet and soft sounds of the park. And, the only think to interupt this peacefulness? The sound of "Hang Em High" without any interuptions. Ah-hh what a way to spend Sunday afternoons.
just so-so 2007-02-13
The picture on this DVD player is not great - it's okay. The other problem we have is that the plugs do not have a good connection with the unit. My daughter was watching a movie one day in the car and there was a sudden LOUD squealing noise over the headphones. We never figured out what happened, however I suspect it could be the poor connection.
Very well satisfied 2007-02-01
I was a little concerned when I read the negative reviews AFTER I had already decided and ordered this player. I've been using almost daily, playing movies,DVD concerts,Cd-R with photos of children and grandchildren. The multifunctions are great and with the headsets on, the concerts are superb, especially when you set the audio to digital surround. I'll keep my fingers crossed, but for the money with everything included I am very well satisfied. Ron in Pa.
