Great, sturdy pedal! Works even with my WK-1200
2008-09-06
This pedal comes out of the box with pretty much only the pedal and the cable that leads to the assignable jack. I hooked it up to my CASIO WK-1200 and it works like a charm. I even use my keyboard as a midi controller in REASON 4.0 and the sustain is beautiful. Gives my piano pieces MUCH more life. This pedal is also extremely sturdy. It's bigger in person than on the pictures and it stays very, very firm on the ground. It comes with this hard plastic cover over the pedal tongue, but I don't see why It should be removed.
Works great and very sturdy

I bought this for my son's Casio Previa. It has always performed well and it is very sturdy. I even vacummed the cord by accident and shredded it, but after splicing it back together and wrapping it in electrical tape it worked again--no problems.
Great Pedal, Sturdy, Easy to use

I bought this pedal about a month ago and I love it. It is heavy and feels sturdy like you would want a pedal to feel. It has a switch on the bottom that makes it compatible with more keyboards. I haven't noticed any squeaking or problems yet, and I don't expect to. It seems to be a pretty good quality pedal and I love it. I think Amazon does a good job of describing this pedal. I use it with my Yamaha Motif.
Sustain Pedal

Nice pedal, but I had to open and tighten the pedal. Looks like they missed a QC step.
Better than other pedals.

I own several other sustain pedals, and I like the M-Audio SP-2 the best. It's heavy, which keeps it stable on the floor, and rugged. I actually have two of these units.
Polarity switch - makes this universal pedal a good choice

M-Audio SP-2 Sustain Pedal is the perfect product for keyboard players who want the most realistic pedal action. The SP-2 model is used in the same manner as the sustain pedal on an acoustic piano. This classic-style pedal works with any M-Audio keyboard. Designed to work and feel just like an acoustic piano's sustain pedal, it has a specially designed rubber bottom that grips the floor and stays put while you play. The SP-2 is a high-quality damper pedal with expressive half-pedal capabilities.
Watch out if you are looking for half-pedaling capability

Contrary to the product discription, this pedal DOES NOT SUPPORT EXPRESSIVE HALF-PEDALING. It is a solid product otherwise, but if you are buying this for half-pedal support - do not do it! I am returning mine.
Not at all bad!

This sustain pedal works very well with my new Yamaha portable keyboard. It is sturdy, durable, and precise. About my only complaint is that its anti-skid base is not quite as anti-skid as advertised, at least in the situations I use the pedal. On carpet rather than on tile, it probably would not-skid without a hitch.
Worth the money

I did a lot of online research and determined that people that enjoy their products rarely review them, while people unhappy with their purchases enjoy blasting them in reviews.
This pedal works great with my Casio Privia, and the action is realistic which is perfect for my piano students. I don't hear any squeaking or creaking, it is weighted and doesn't slide around. I kept the plastic cover on the pedal so the chrome stays pretty (and it helps the younger students reach it a little better) but I would definitely recommend it.
Great!

It feels solid, and a good but smooth resistance when you step on it. Very nice pedal!
