Smegma gets the BEST portable listening for your buck 2008-06-24
What more needs to be said -- absolutely the BEST deal on the market for the money in portable music listening !!

Koss has ALWAYS been TOP OF THE LINE -- and they continue to offer great value and quality. It's nice to have listened to EXCELLENT Koss products for 38 years ...

AT the other end of the spectrum, Shu*e has gone NUTS on their pricing, so Koss just shines all the brighter now.

don't look elsewhere, really! 2008-06-18
There are tons of reviews of on Amazon and other audio product forums on the web which rate these phones as being the best bang for the buck. I have found them to be quite accurate, so I won't elaborate too much. In my experience, the sound clarity is detailed and excellent, especially in the mid to high range, and one can use the sound equalizers on their music players to improve the bass response somewhat. This isn't for bassheads, but for the rest of us, it is more than adequate with a little fiddling around.

My major concern before I bought these was how comfortable they would feelI have to say that this is not an issue at all because they slipped on very easily and once they are on, I barely notice them as they are really light and the hook around the ears is really comfortable. I wanted something that works well while running or exercising and I don't find earbuds comfortable, so this is perfect. Also, I wear glasses and don't have small ears. Still, putting these on and keeping these on are no problem at all.

All in all, you will get great sound and wearing comfort at a really great price. Don't look elsewhere, really!

Awesome headphones 2008-06-11
These headphones take a little getting used to, but they are awesome. Full clear sound, nice bass, the kind that breathes, not the muffled bass of an ear bud (but just as big, or bigger). Like all headphones, they're not indestructable. I basically get a new pair of these every 6-8 months or so, after a frayed wire, or, more recently, a lost ear clip (they come off the headphones). Still, that's a small price to pay for great sound at a reasonable price. I'm also hard on 'em - I throw in my bag, sweat on them several times a week (I wear them while running), etc. Sound is my number one factor, and in that department these really are kick arse.

great for the gym and outdoor running 2008-06-10
I bought these headphones to use at the gym, and it's been absolutely great. It stays on your ears, they are very comfortable, and the sound quality is good. I even used them in the L.A. Marathon with my ipod shuffle and it worked out perfectly. Some stuff to keep in mind is the fact that it's not spring loaded so be careful, don't pull the behind-the-ear clip back when you're putting them on, just put it over and behind your ear. Also, once in a while I have to take them off because it gets really sweaty and I wipe them down with my shirt. This is no big deal, plus I should mention that I sweat a lot. Some users have reported that the behind-the-ear clip and the speaker break apart which is a simple fix of just pressing it back into its joint; this is true, it does happen and it's easy to put them back. This only happens if you're rough with your headphones. I've used a lot of different headphones at the gym: behind the head streetstyle, ear buds, just to name a few. So I understand how frustrating it can be when you're on the treadmill and u get into that perfect zone where everything just clicks only to have your headphones slide off your ear or pop out, it's very annoying. Try these, they're inexpensive and are totally worth it.
Bottom line:
If you're an active person then this is where your search for headphones ends.

The best sub-$25 headphones you can buy, bar none. 2008-06-02
They are so good that I've bought 4 sets of these marvelous clip-ons over the past 3 years. Koss' unlimited warranty is amazing as well. There were and will continue to remain my default choice for use at the gym.

Minor Cable Problems 2008-07-25
The only problem I've had with these headphones (and it's happened with both pairs that I've bought) is with the external plastic insulation on the cable. The portion of the cable that's close to each earpiece can come in contact with your face and neck. Over time, the oil in your skin can cause that part of the cable to become shiny and stiff. Eventually, the insulation will crack and the wiring will break, especially if you're wrapping the headphone cables a lot.

I've had the same problem with other brands of headphones, but not with others. I suspect that it has something to do with the type of plastic that's used to insulate the wiring.

Still, for under $20.00, they're a good buy.

terrible 2008-07-20
These headphones are terrible.. two pairs broke in less than 1 month.. if you like garbage.. please buy these

Great sound, they stay on, they're comfy, BUT... 2008-07-15
...they're a little dorky looking. They protrude out from my ears more than I'd expected - I thought they might lay a bit flatter than they do, so I'm feeling like I've got Clark Gable ears. Other than that bit of superficiality, I love them. Great sound and they stay put. Getting them on takes a bit of practice, but it's far less work initially than, say, putting in noise-cancelling ear buds.

Oh, and a lifetime warranty!

Great sounding, terribly uncomfortable. 2008-07-06
These headphones sound great. There is treble and bass clarity, and it doesn't sound muddy when you turn the volume all the way up. Sound-wise, these are probably the best pair of portable headphones I have owned. However, since these headphones are so uncomfortable, it subtracted from the great sound. At first, when I took these out of the box and tried them on, they wouldn't fit and stay on. Also, the cushions were very itchy. After adjusting them for an hour, they fit a little better. I gave these headphones a chance and wore them for a week, hoping that I would get used to them. A week later though, they still didn't fit correctly and were itchy. When I say they don't fit, I mean when I shake my head (even lightly), they fall off. Despite its great sound, I ended up giving them to a friend to pay off a debt.

Great bang for the buck 2008-06-30
For a pair of under $20 headphones, these sound great.

I have been through several pairs of headphones, from giveaway-grade to the $100 level. I would have been happy for these up to a $50 price point, so for under $20, they are a steal.
