Using with my new HD television

This unit works well. The secret is that it (or any other inside unit) must be away from the wiring for the TV. I had it on the floor behing the TV but got poor reception.
I now have it on the floor next to the TV (it doesn't look bad) and the reception is great. I rarely have to move it.
The reception improved 100% after I moved it away from the rear TV wiring!

I recommend it!!

Works fine for my purpose

I was having difficulty receiving good signal for the local channels. By the way, I am not a TV guy, but occasionally watch some programs on the local channels including the pbs. The two antennas that I had previously, one being a passive and the other being amplified, worked for some channels but not for the others. So I was sick of adjusting the direction each time I switched from channel to channel. Finally I ordered this item through Amazon, and I would say I am pleased, at least I have an average picture for all channels, and some are better than the others. It is supposed to receive HDTV but I do not have a HD ready TV so I really cannot say anything about that. It served the purpose for me. I gave 4 stars because the picture is not crisp for all channels, and I am not leaving in a very crowded area or lots of big buildings around.

More to be desired

Tried this unit out and its heading staight back to Best Buy. It certainly does pick up local HDTV signals without its power booster, and picture only improves slightly with the booster plugged in. Reception was never completely clear for six local channels, and my non-Hi Def signal from my Dish was vastly better than the over-the-air signals using this antenna. It got two stars because it's slightly better than no antenna at all.

This product does what it is supposed to do, and better than standard rabbit ears. I think that the main problem people have with reception is that the signal being sent to your tv is not strong enough, but this one does seem to pick up the signal with more consistiency than anything else I have tried (rabbit ears and a regular aerial antenna placed in the attic). I would recomend this if you have a good place to place it. That said, I do think that a quality outdoor antenna is better if you have muliple TV's to hook up and can run your coaxial thru the house in a unobtrusive way.

Unbeliveable performance

I've been using this antennae for over a month and I am amazed at the quality of the signal I'm getting inside my house. It displays more local channels and has a more stable image than the two other antennae I used prior to this one. Plus, is cost about the same as the others.

jensen tv-931 is a poor product

This antenna gets poor reception. It does not matter where you place it. Since the connection cable is attched inside the unit it can not be up graded to a better cable. many channels were pixilated and some had no reception at all. This antenna needs more amplification.

We finally have the HDTV channels!

IF you ahve a tv with a tuner then this is the antenna for you it looks good and works great.

Poor Performance

Far under performed, I was hoping for the local free HD channels, this antenna did not give me any. All the local channels it did give me were very poor quality and in order to actually get more then a couple of channels you have to manually adjust the antenna. To many design flaws and the HDTV advertisement is false. Save your money, don't buy it.
