A nice set, but the stethoscope is not that sensitive

The set is nice, and the sphymamanometer is very well crafted and works well, but the stethoscope is not that sensitive and it took a while to find the pulse.

BP cuff and stethoscope 2007-06-09
This is the most relaible measuring device for accurate blood pressures that do not involve an invasive line. This device is going to be going to a place in Africa where the town only has 1 BP cuff so this will assist in getting accurate measurements to prevent inaccurate bloodpressures and unnecessary treatments. It is easy to use and has enough pieces to enable the user to hear the sounds with a custom fit.
Nice Sphyg, bad stethoscope 2008-07-08
If you're strapped for cash this is your best bet, the stethoscope is not very clear and just down right bad, the sphyg works well, but the stethoscope is not up to the same standards. It can listen to heartbeat but don't expect much more from that, the sensitive high frequency diaphragm is unclear. Keep in mind the stethoscope is also very painful and tight on your ears and it will hurt.
If you are simply getting a sphyg and steth to take your own BP in your house for example, this would be a good investment, the stethoscope serves its purpose.
If you don't want to spend a lot this is not a bad model.

The Stethoscope is absolute crap and not worth anyhting. Had to use the baby side of it to barely hear anyhting and couldn't even hear my own hearbeat through my shirt. Bought a real Stethoscope and its like going from wearing ear plugs to being able to hear. The Sphygmomanometer seems to work great.

This kit is nice, but I don't recommend it for professional use. Works great but you can't hear that well with the stethoscope.
