The APC SmartUPS is a great back-up solution for individuals that want more than battery back-up. The serial or USB interface allows for detailed reports on voltage variability and other measurements. Plus, if you have many SmartUPS's, they can be centrally monitored via APCs free software (up to 5 UPS).
