Good Product at a Good Price

I initially was going to purchase this item from the XM Radio site, but they wanted to charge twice as much for the kit and also obligate me to a six month contract! Caveat Emptor! The kit attached very easily to my Yamaha reciever and after experimenting a little with antenna placement, I got decent reception. The included remote is a nice feature. Well worth the price.

great addition 2008-03-06
i'm glad i bought this as i am able to carry the radio from the car to the house and listen to special shows in the evening. The only thing is since this is XM you need to position antenna close to window to get best reception. In my opinion this is to be expected and so i give 5 stars.

Considering this costs upwards of 40 dollars elsewhere, if you can find it, I would say this is a great deal. It has a mini jack so you could hook up media speakers if you don't have a stereo reciever as I have done. Can also hook up a wireless headset.
Very happy with the product. I had the boombox many years and it finally died. If you have good multimedia speakers I would recommend not buying the 100 dollar boombox. It's really a waste. This works fine.
South facing window not required 2008-01-31
I received this product to try and get XM inside my home as well as my car. The instructions say that the antenna needs to be placed as close as possible to a south facing window. well i live in an east to west facing town house (i.e. no windows in the north or south) and there are three other townhomes located on my south. i have the antenna sitting on top of my tv armoire pointing to the south (and through 3 other homes) and about three feet from any window and i am able to pull in excellent satellite feed. very excellent little product, highly recommended

Poor Reception

I have not been able to receive stations, other than the advertisments.
I get a good signal, and can hear the talking. I don't think my account has been activated. I have written to Delphi, and never get a live person!
I have e mailed them and never get a reply. I probably need a professional to install this tuner.

Simple, easy to plug and play, just be patient depending on where you stand in reference to the signal, it may take a while to capture all music channels. Finally you may not find this item in many places, obsoleted at many big electronic stores, so my advice is that if you need this device and see it available, grab it!!
Added versatility for my XM 2007-09-03
Very simple to set up and use. Allows me to connect my XM to my shop radio (Milwaukee) auxiliary jack and listen to all of the XM programming. SKYFI2 is no longer carried by best Buy and also got a great price at Amazon.
