HP Are Bandits

HP gives the printers away and makes all their profit on the ink. So therefore, this item is mch more expensive than it should be.

I like that this product comes with an envelope to send your old cartridge back for recycling and you don't have to pay for the postage.
Great Cartridge 2007-04-13
I do a lot of B&W printing and this cartridge is a real workhorse. I don't count the pages, but these things run a long time without replacement.
Good shelf life too. I found an old one that's been on the shelf for longer than I can remember. Put it in my printer, and it works like a champ.
I suspect that the earlier reviewer of this item might have bought an 'aftermarket' refilled cartridge. I've had trouble with those, too. Have learned to stick with genuine OEM cartridges.
Bad cartridge

I have never purchased a cartridge that gave such poor quality prints - and I was only printing text. I may have gotten a bad one, maybe others have had better results, but I would not recommend this product.

Product as advertised, great price and delivery. My HP printer used to reject HP and other cartridges until I downloaded and installed a firmware upgrade to the printer.

OEM ink works with your printer as it should. Substitutes do not measure up even though they might be cheaper. If you care about print quality, buy the HP product and rest assured that you will get great copies.
Go for the hp 96 instead 2008-02-07
The HP 96 is the same cartridge, but it holds more ink, and depending on the price you pay, is usually more economical.
